WRKS 22.49p The Works. Over 500 shops. MCAP of £14m, with only 63m shares in issue. Just had results and profit (for 6 months!) bigger than Mcap through surprising online sales.

Hi Darren yeah i have got to stop using the phrase MM there isn’t really such thing anymore, it’s an algorithm running on a platform. The traders should be tighter controlled though - not really sure how that can be done of course because we are all working to the same set of rules. One thing I do know for certain is that this is a big game and it’s heavily weighted against the inexperienced! I think the City boys call us cannon fodder!

Jj we are all gullible. That is how the MM make their money. Don’t know how accurate the number is but they reckon 9 out of 10 people lose in this game? How many of those holders “lend out their stock”?
What reason would there be to have 2 “buys” at exactly the same time, one being -ve? and then report one later on as a sell? These aren’t questions because nobody here knows the answer. We are putty in their hands! It’s all corrupt I tell you corrupt! Ha ha

MM games IMO.
2 x 1.5M buys but notice one has a negative (-) in front. The MM then displays the second one after hours but because the shareprice is higher it is displayed as a sell. They are all corrupt. Check out the following link. Really interesting.

No offence taken. We all know there are 2 types of people in this planet W******* and liars!
More importantly though what we don’t know is the total debt and how much interest we pay on it. Along with that we should know roughly the profit margin on the DBX.
These are really important figures and my guess is that there are guys reading this thread who as 33 says can tell us BUT we have to let them help us.

This thread is simply to get everyone talking and see if we can nail these figures down by working together.
We know we have just taken on a £Billion but half of that I believe has been used to pay off some of the existing debt. So how much is still left? and how much interest do we pay?
Truthfully we should all know these figures.

* Base cost DBX £150,000?
* INTEREST on Debt £100M

Feeling very brave this morning and at the risk of being called a “Deramper” I would like us to discuss how much profit we make on a DBX and how many we need to sell to pay the interest on our loans?

So as a stab I’m going to say 25%?
Debt? £100M?

Base cost DBX £25,000?
Extras £50,000?

So let’s say average £175,000

25% x £175,000 = £43,750 so let’s say £45,000

£100M / £45,000 = 2,222 DBXs to break even?

Thoughts please.

Morning Crank Tbh I haven’t got a problem with the debt. Every company (especially now with Covid) has got it especially one as big as AML owning massive factories but the profit margin on each DBX should be the very minimum research each and everyone of us should have undertaken (including me of course so smacked wrists).
I will most probably get jumped on but I’m going to open a new thread and see if that guy a couple of weeks ago dare come back and explain it better.”We” have to be more open and not call people derampers if they dare say anything (constructively) negative about AML.

Couple of questions that we should know the answers to and don’t. What is the profit margin on the DBX? and how many DBXs per year do we have to produce just to pay the interest of £100M for this new £Billion loan?
Anyone know our total debt now?
In the past when posters have came on and mentioned stuff like this they get quickly shut down which doesn’t make sense. We should discuss everything.

I think that is why they specifically kept £36M to one side. Ie to get us to April.
After that Saga still have the £100M to draw down if necessary but hopefully it won’t come to that.

Smorty you are basing your guesstimate on wishful thinking because you just want to get in at the lowest possible £.

You must agree that Saga is in a much better position financially now than before the dilution when it had an average MCAP of £168M?

A share price of £1.40 and MCAP of £195M is ridiculous taking into consideration the following
facts.

Group's financial position
has been strengthened by £140M.

£40m of revolving credit paid off.

£64M of the £134M loan paid off and the remaining £70M extended to May 2023.

Remaining £36m raised will keep them ships “for free” until April 2021.

£100m revolving credit facility UNDRAWN and will remain available until May 2023.

Oh and
