You can’t compare a 10p rise now to a “10p” rise after consolidation. If it’s 10 to 1 then a 10p rise now is the equivalent of a £1 rise later but I think you know that.

Papp don’t know if you can deal international stocks (I can’t) but I have watched PLUG from 12p onwards and it’s now 24p it’s hydrogen.
Providing it’s money you can afford to lose then just stick the lot in AA mate don’t pi. Ss about with mid day price and all that rubbish just stick the lot in at best price. All IMO of course and also a bit tongue in cheek. Good luck whatever you decide to do.

I created that table of averages above initially to get a feel of what the share price could go to if no deal.
Agree though that it has little use to calculate a possible bid price.
Also agree with Clemoc that worst case no deal drop is 20 to 22p but going by my table it will quickly recover to what it should now be if this shambolic bid situation hadn’t arisen which IMO would easily be mid 30’s early 40p

Conclusion.

LTI I agree.
We have to use the MCAP as a direct reference to compare the current share price with the OLD original pre dilution share price.

Example.
Current share price £1.98
So current MCAP = 1.98 x 139,594,769 = £276M

To get the OLD pre-dilution share price we have to divide it by the pre-dilution number of shares.
So
276,397,643/1,122,003,328 = 24.36p

So £1.98 pre-dilution is 24.36p FACT.

NOT £1.98 divided by 15 (13.2) which is what most people do here.

The actual number everybody should be using to find the “old price” is
roughly 8

(Ie 198/24.36 = 8.12)

However as a number of posters have correctly pointed out this does not take into account the £150M raised. The MCAP can’t do that but the City does by increasing the share price.

Anyhow all good news. Onwards and upwards.

I have now come to the conclusion that nobody here (including me) is able to directly compare the Current share price to the old.
I tried using the Mcap as a reference but this is not possible because it does not take into account the £ raised.
What I do know though is that dividing it by 15 is only a very rough reference and to prove my point I have cut and pasted Banburys message above but pretended that there never was a consolidation.
Hopefully you will see how ridiculous it is to simply divide by 15

Tiger you are incorrect. Rupans is correct.
For some reason most people keep multiplying the current share price by the consolidation number of 15 to work out the “old share price” completely ignoring the almost Billion shares dilution?

Sadiq I’m guessing you are young and I urge you to keep it real. Back in the dot com boom bust 20 odd years ago I had a young family and stupidly took out a 10 grand loan and bought shares. It went well initially so I borrowed another 10. I lost the lot. I thought it was the end of the world but it wasn’t. I eventually paid the loans off and life went on. I keep saying this to anyone who will listen but if you have got your health you are already a millionaire mate. It really is only money.

Interactive Investor worked completely fine for me all day. Never missed a beat. I did about 12 different trades spread over the day and had absolutely no problems whatsoever. Highly recommended.

Hello everybody I have just bought into this share at 22p so just after the rise which is ok because I think it’s got legs. I will do my research I promise but does anybody fancy giving me a brief history?
Ie why the massive drop? Is it just the obvious ie Covid? Or has there been a massive dilution? Hope someone doesn’t mind giving me a quick overview.

Hi Darren yes the 24th is my understanding also but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s extended again. I agree that the downside could be below 20p but I genuinely think once the refinancing is sorted it would recover quickly back to these levels.
