Yes I agree, obesity seems to be more of a problem for the upcoming generations (the McDonald’s era).

The point I was trying to make though was that the Saga clientele being over 50 are already firmly in the at risk category and if 30% are overweight then they are in the super at risk category so making Vaccines mandatory is an excellent idea.

Got to be honest though at 60 years of age I’m not remotely frightened of this Virus in fact I’m blo ody sick of hearing about it!

Based on the news reports I think that is (extremely) conservative.

Over the age of 50 of course amplifies this hugely.

Asking everyone to be vaccinated before embarking on a cruise is risky yes but one death through Covid would be game over for Saga.

Well, results are on Friday so we have 2 days to find out if the on line sales are going to be the saviour of this Company.

“Like for Like” they are increasing for sure but I have convinced myself that taking all the shop closures into account the results are going to be just ‘ok’.

Any dips below 30p and I will be buying more regardless.

Totally agree Rogue I would never judge anybody by how many shares they own for sure. 100 shares to one person can mean an awful lot more than 10,000 to another.

I’m also roughly 35% in Saga but I’m an ‘all in’ type of person and this is the first time I have ever had a balanced portfolio and it’s killing me!

If this goes were we all think it’s going then Beachbum has got to organise a shareholders cruise in 2022 for sure.

Trying to gradually build up to 100,000 and tempted to just ‘go for it’ but it would then be my entire portfolio.

Actually it’s not too bad because I only sold a small amount of my holding here to temporarily buy EQT and thankfully so far they have matched the rise.

The Works (WRKS) is very much unloved at the moment (for obvious reasons) but the results are out on Friday and I think they are going to be better than expected.

I don’t think there is any right or wrong in any of this. It’s entirely up to each individual what works for them.

Playing around with a small part of your holding is fun but be warned it is very addictive and if it comes off then 10% quickly becomes 20% and some.

On both AML and ODX I got too confident and ended up selling and rebuying my entire holding and both times I ended up missing out on big rises. I have even lost out big here on that last rise which I missed because I was trying to be clever.

The sensible thing to do is to have a balanced portfolio across different sectors, hold long term and be patient.

I have complete faith in Saga being £3+ if these results are better than the City expects and £4+ when cruises resume and then £5+/£6+ in 2022

I’m a little concerned that “Sir Roger” knowing this will take it private but if he does it will be at higher price than it currently is so we will still gain.

En route though (keeping my core holding intact) im going to try to build on it by having a bit of fun!

So Monday I would like a little dip please so I can buy my shares back and then onwards and upwards thank you. Lol.

Good question and although in theory it’s possible, the reality is very much different.

I personally love the buzz of selling some of my stock and trying to buy it back cheaper and when it works it’s great but overall it hasn’t! lol

Doesn’t stop me trying though!

I sold 10% ish of my Saga last week but reinvested in EQT. Thinking EQT will go up and Saga go down I will sell EQT and buy more Saga hence increasing my Saga holding. So far the opposite has happened! Ha ha

Not to be beaten I sold a third lot at close of play on Friday at £2.69 ish to buy back on Monday if there is a dip. Ha ha yeah sure!

This is a journey for everybody here and if we all respect each other and accept our differences then we can have a laugh at each other on the way can’t we?
