Yes, all looking good.

Current Mcap £520m.

Average Mcap between July 2019 and Jan 2020 (Pre-Covid) was £560m which equates to £4.

Remember though that was not only pre-Covid but also pre-Sir Roger and Saga were not in a great place.

I have to put my hand on my heart though and admit that I don’t really know what I am doing.

Along with a couple of guys on Thursday I mistakenly pulled 10 grand out of here BUT I put it on Card which has actually matched Saga’s rise so all good.

Can’t seem to do much wrong lately which I’m not complaining about.

The Stock Market is one big game and we are the players.

I don’t care what anybody says it’s gambling. Red black red black.

Most are playing long term (Banbury, Millionaire,Doofus et al) others trading a small part of their holding and just recently some are going for broke gambling their complete holding (FJG,Bigbadds).

None of us truly know what we are doing - do we?

Providing you are playing with money you can genuinely afford to lose and the wife never finds out then just keep laughing at yourself and enjoy the ride.

It’s one big emotional rollercoaster.

We are in good hands here guys.

Saga are proactive in managing their debt and thinking ahead which is great news and nothing to be concerned about.

We know in the last (£140m) cash raise they paid off £40m of revolving credit and £64M off an existing £134M loan and at the same time extending the remaining £70m to May 2023.

This left £36m cash to go towards the ‘cash burn’ for the ships.

There is also available a £100m revolving credit facility which remains available until May 2023.

They are simply covering all bases which is the sign of a good management team.

When I was a kid my parents ran a Working mans club and attached to it was a William Hill betting shop.

Always remember as a child being told that the majority of people who gamble have to lose to fund those betting shops.

The ‘Market Makers’ take their cut and I saw a report yesterday that there are something like 750 Isa millionaires on the iii platform alone.

Banbury was honest to admit to his £70k loss but if the Saga share price actually does go to his break even then not only will he get his money back but the rest of us will become even more wealthy so who is funding all of this?

He planted the seed and tipped Shoe at 52p last week so I had a look and liked what I saw and thought mmmm I could sell some Saga and buy Shoe then if they go up blah blah blah you know what I’m saying.

So I sat on my hands and now Shoe are 70 odd pence!

Should have had more courage last week and have ended up paying 74p for Shoe now.

why the rise this morning it’s because I decided to follow FJG and Bigbadds example and sell some (10%) of my shares to ‘buy back cheaper’ next week.

Sold them at £2.87 and on cue they went to £2.92?

Just a bit of fun but now I’m having to explain the joke then it was obviously rubbish!

Hey I’m getting my jab on Thursday. Just turned 60 with no (known) health issues and fit as a lop (whatever one of them is) so a bit surprised really but if it allows me to go on holiday then I am not complaining.

Ok so here’s my take on this.

We are all here to make money and the options how I see it are as follows :-

1. Do your research,find one share you really believe in and invest every £ you can afford to lose (yeah sure) and then do NOTHING.
2. As above but with several companies across different sectors creating a balanced portfolio.
3. Similar to 1 and 2 but ‘trade’ a small part (10%) of your holding to try and buy more shares back for the same £.
4. Same as 3 but selling 50%,60%, 70% of even your complete holding to try and buy them back cheaper.

Apart from never ever and I mean EVER telling the wife how much you have actually invested there are no hard and fast rules in this game so I take my hat off to both FJG and Bigbadd.

My advice is to create a table at how many shares you will gain as the price drops and decide beforehand what price you will buy back in and stick to it. (Don’t get greedy!)

Not wanting to teach a granny how to suck eggs but don’t buy back in too big a tranches and take into account that a couple of your buys will possibly increase the share price so space them out.

Good luck and if it goes down enough I will be buying more!

Oh yes Rogue I see that now and have recommended his post! I like Jasonsdad so was initially surprised and thought it was maybe something to do with the thread police and going off topic but all good.

As much as I try I just can’t see Saga being allowed to enter foreign waters anytime soon.

Moving on from cruising shopping AISLES to the British ISLES will be a step in the right direction. Ha ha (ok treble checked so will now post).

Take the word ‘dyslexic’ for example.

It took me about 5 attempts to even get the spell checker to recognise that it was a word in the English language!
