Hiya NOISEY as you know, there are no guarantees in this game so of course I could be completely wrong but I look upon Card as a recovery play so everything I think is based on there being no more lockdowns.
Before Covid this was sat comfortable at £1.80 and more recently 90p before the badly worded refinance RNS.
I’m gambling everything on the results in January being good and from what I have seen on the shop floor they are going to be.
July next year will be the turning point IMHO.

That’s a good point simes20 that’s what’s good about having someone like you here looking at Card Factory objectively. All 1000+ shops being closed and locked down for most of the year especially over the Xmas period regardless of the business being seasonal is no excuse for them going into debt.

Like you jedclampit I have seen it all and I used to get annoyed about it but not so much at the poster but more my inability to understand why they do it?

I like things to make sense and the very fact some of them are very clever it used to frustrate me.

The management are not stupid and are well aware what they have got to do.

Buys outnumbered the sells hugely everyday last week before the results and 2:1 yesterday.
40% of the reporting period the shops were closed.
The results were good.

Sat outside my local Card factory (again!).
To the left I can see one cashier in full view and another in partial view just next to her.
In front of both of them I can see at least 8 customers patiently waiting in the queue.
To the right of all of them I have clear vision of 2 different aisles and they are both rammed with more customers and I mean rammed.
Been here about 20 mins and at no point have either of those cashiers stopped continually scanning in “stuff” and handing it over the counter.
I haven’t went “all in” here on impulse. I have witnessed this so many times now I have lost count and nothing just here in Washington but also all over the region and as far away as Leeds.
My gut is telling me I will double my £ here and nothing I have seen so far has made me think otherwise.
Card is easily one of the best recovery plays out there atm and at this price an absolute steal.
All IMHO of course.

Nobody is is expecting £3 smiles20 or even £2.

Truth is the footfall is down there is no denying but the shops are open and very very busy and that is also true and cannot be denied.

£1 is easily achievable in the next 12 months and ps Card has got a cult following! Lol

Hiya jedclampit definitely wouldn’t recommend it because it’s extremely risky and I have had a couple of close shaves but only a small part of this £ is actually my initial investment so don’t feel like it’s mine anyway!

That’s it, couldn’t resist.

Won’t be able to see it yet but that buy of 24,241@0.55498 is mine.

Card is now 100% my whole portfolio with over 600 thousand shares.

There absolutely no reason at all for today’s drop.

It’s all driven by the algorithm to generate £ for the MMs

I’ve found a real winner here with Card Factory and feel so lucky to be in at this price.
