Couple of weeks ago I sold all my Shoe Factory at 60 odd pence to go “all in” here for around the same price so like for like swap.

Couldn’t make it man ffs hopeless. Ha ha

Supermarkets to my knowledge have always sold cards and if they are extending their range to balloons then hey ho good luck to them.

I was in Sainsbury’s at the weekend and they had 2 aisles full of birthday and Xmas cards. Didn’t see any for 99p but saw a lot for £3 and £4.

I was the only person there.

Well Dan, the way your message reads is that the Card Factory are now selling their products in Morrison’s in the same way that they are selling their Cards in Aldi.

Now that is great news and something if true we should all celebrate but I suspect it’s not the way you meant it to read?

Look at all those blue dots, each one pinpointing one of the 1000+ Card Factory shops. Also the other coloured dots pin pointing the 519 Aldi locations 15 Matalan locations snd 4 CF Franchise locations.

All of these were closed down or had massive restrictions for the biggest part of 2020 and early part of 2021.

That is why we have this debt this Covid debt.

I know I’m telling you nothing new but now they are all open and doing business. Ok we have a reduced footfall but this a well oiled machine even with its very own factory producing the Cards. It’s not a start up.

This is a no brainer for me.

I’m staying “all in” until £1 then I will down size. I’m hoping that’s going to be early next but if it’s the year after then so be it.

I’m still doing my “secret shopping” and can report that the 3 shops I frequent are as busy as ever. Always someone at the till buying something.

I do have one problem to report though and that is the Washington branch has been without helium for 12 straight days now so no balloons.

They have a hand written sign apologising to customers but no mention of nearby shops and worse still no mention of the website?

Very very poor and even after complaining to Customer services 4 days ago no change.

There seems to be real disconnect between the shops and the website. Almost in competition with each other?

Anyhow apart from that they are really really busy each time I go.

We all do it. Every single person reading this has “if only” story.

My biggest worry is how on Earth I’m going to get out of this?

When you first get into it you naively think you would be happy just making a few quid.

Then you get greedy and quickly realise that no amount of money is enough.

How much is “enough”?

The majority of people have to be losing £ to keep this massive money making machine working.

For every winner there has to be a lot of losers.

With the absolute flukey exception of Avacta I have messed up big time on just about every share I have bought and sold and always end up for one reason or another p I s s e d off.

Buy at the right time and the right price.

Even if by a complete miracle you manage to sell at a peak you end up smugly reinvesting as they drop and then they continue dropping so you end up yes you’ve guessed it p I s s e d off! Ha ha

This game is so addictive and the only real escape from all of this is to lose everything. Lol

I can tell you exactly what would happen jedclampit.

If you buy now it will go down.

If you sell now it will go up.

This is not a guess it’s a FACT.

Please sell.

In an ideal world we would all like to buy at the lowest point and sell at the highest but life isn’t like that.

I jumped in at 78p when it dropped from 90p thinking that was the trough and then kept doing so on the way down thinking each time was the bottom.

Had to go all in just to get my average down to 60p.

With the exception of one share (Avct) every one I have bought has done this.

Everyday these shops are open and doing business Card Factory is worth more IMO and if they stay open the months of November and December then the share price will be considerably higher than what it is now.

If you are lucky enough to be buying these for less than 50p and are in no hurry for your £ then you are laughing all the way to the bank.

In a few months time we are all going to look back and be amazed that we could buy these for 48p.

Fair enough in full lockdown but not now when everywhere is open. This is crazy.

Hiya Salfordred last time you tipped my ex girlfriend Sareum to me was at the back end of July when it was 8p and rising. It’s now 6p !! Lol

How sad am I? I wasn’t even there but I know exactly what they will be - Xmas cards box of 10 99p 3 for 2.

Everybody is doing a balance act at the till with them.

Goodness knows how Card makes a profit on selling 3 boxes of 10 cards with envelopes at 99p per box BUT 3 for 2 so £1.98?

I’m guessing it’s a loss leader because it’s for charity and it gets the customers through the door to buy other stuff?

Pre-Xmas? very much doubt it Noisey.

Truthfully nothing was ever going to happen between now and the next results due in January.

Optimism? Yes! I can give you that.

The shops are open 7 days a week and every day taking in £ and from what I can see lots of it.

The fly in the ointment here was always going to be the potential for further lockdowns and the Country has turned to schitt because of previous ones so just can’t see anymore happening again ever.

Somebody mentioned the other day that the share price now is the same as it was in February when all 1000+ shops were closed and full lockdown?

It must also be remembered that just before that when they were open (and only a couple of people were allowed in a shop at a time) we also weren’t allowed to visit each other or have party’s.

Completely different situation now.

We all need patience (apparently) something most of us lack in abundance.

So exciting the start of Covid with shares jumping all over the place and doubling overnight.

MM shenanigans going on again today with a drop of 3p for absolutely no reason whatsoever.

Buys currently twice the number of sells.

Just out of curiosity I tried a dummy sell on Monday starting at £10 grand and stepping up in £10 grand multiples.

I got an immediate buy now price upto and including £50 grand for a smidgen under 52p which told me that they want my shares.

They are now trying the tactic of getting people to panic and sell.

This is all just my understanding anyway and I could be completely wrong!!

Shops are busy and for that there is no denying. I’m still confident that there are going to be no more lockdowns.

In fact they are so busy they are running out of helium which I’m taking as a positive. (I only see that as a negative if it is not replenished quickly).
