The last placing of £450k after costs will only last another 4 or 5 weeks ! and if there was any sniff of a decent deal on it's way then the placing would have been done at 2p not at the lowest price in the companies history at 0.75p

They are treated completely differently and i'm surprised you were not aware.

There are two likely courses of action.

1. the money will be given to the consortium over 3 to 4 years on the understanding that it is only to be used for the stated goals of the project (ie Scancells MODI 3)

2. the costs will be invoiced to CRUK over a 3 to 5 year period as long as they have been spent on the stated goals of the project (ie Scancell's MODI 3)

Although the money will never appear on Scancell's balance sheet, the stated aim is on using our MODI 3 as the basis of the project with Scancell's own Lindy Durrant heading up the team, It is pretty damn close to being awarded the money directly to scancell.

The added benefit is that the money is being used to develop our compounds by a consortium of the best names in the oncology world.

An overdraft is a debt, whereas the the grant money is neither an asset or a debt. although it is similar in nature to an asset.
