Medical devices do not have an SmPC whilst medicines are not regulated via CEMark. Clear distinctions between devices and medicines. Whilst official bodies may wish to establish their own requirements for either this is distinct from the MHRA. The existing situation highlights that but compare and contrast the amount of paperwork between a new drug and say a pregnancy test kit. The timelines to generate such paperwork are also very different but I can see how you get the two confused.

MHRA also have a role within Medical Devices such as diagnostics. There activity related to medicines is significantly different and the two shouldn't be confused.

Of a journo wanted to stick it to someone they would probably wait until after G7 and the Irish sausage fiasco (his Lordships estate near Tipperary has been particularly badly hit).

I think they do take on customers big and small. Steph knows her stuff (don't ask)- I think they only get one shot at this and for the company the PR plan probably doesn't have shareholders at the top of the target list. We also don't know what's been bought - it could just be news collation.

If we have deals lined up then they would delay. If they are trying to get info out of Prof Waffle they will struggle.

Why does it matter - the SP can remain volatile but until P3 results or other news then so what. Indeed a short squeeze would be fun to watch

In the multi universe you can imagine Avacta launching a LFD eventually. You could imagine this generating significant revenue.

Roll this over into pharma - not a slam dunk by any stretch but preclinical with known compound looks good as an avenue.

So that leaves us with possibility of a bid - timing will be crucial. Price goes up the closer a potential launch date gets closer.

I can imagine a possible universe where mologic bite the bullet and put in an offer.

Other than that though we have to wait for the shop window to improve - chairman needs to start thumping the table and execs need to improve delivery - we talk about 18 days as if it doesn't matter but could you imagine GSK shrugging that off. Mk cap has dropped 15% in that time.

Real achievement to get here - I believe lots of dead ends followed during the journey and lack of experience hasn't helped. Prof Waffle needs more high level support - BOD will be on it.

Its a complicated environment and humans make misteaks. However, that could be made up for if the company were a bit more communicative with their share holders or even truthful - no fund raise required followed by fund raise and SP crash two weeks later. Friends and family fund raise week before major RNS.

First cancer deadline missed by 15 months and then secret squirrel and vague / misses deadlines ever since. We invest based on information - I'd like to thank Prof Waffle and team for getting us to here but the path could have been better. I'm not bothered by a mistake by telling us about Europe only cause you need good news is a foul tasting, pleasant surprise - why not tell us at the same time as MHRA. Oh that's right cause as existing shares holders rather than new money we don't count.
