What exactly do we know about this NDA - we are all talking about it but im not sure why?

I've read here about the theory that a poor test like innova results in fewer positive tests which fits with govt agenda.

However it would mean more infected people freely circulating which would put up the transmission rate.

Isolating infected people is the most effective way of reducing transmission and thereby keeping the number of ongoing positive results down.

Now if you didn't want to keep transmission rates down, a ineffective yet reassuring test would be just the ticket

Key differentiator between affimers and ABs is the development time.

Avacta state a new affimer to say a variant is quicker to turn around than ABs. Six weeks is quoted.

This means UK govt or Europe or States could actually contract Avacta to produce affimers for each VOC has they emerge - which we can be pretty sure they will.

If tests become a key part of strategy then affimers offer the quickest response (of a lfd).
