I think the delay for results would mean broad spectrum being initiated whilst they wait. We know the biomarkers first sepsis plus the bacteria most likely. So bedside tests are being developed (Avacta have stated they are).

Avacta have increased the supply of shares but demand doesn't seem to have changed. This would shift SP down

If we can predict an increase in SP then so can the flippers. This means a steady sell all the way up for a significant period of time until the next sunstancial change in demand. They don't need to make profits in a day. So again a drag on share price.

My response is to look at why Avacta hold value rather then trade the stock like baked beans.

The buy showing as sells would be one and we then don't need to start a new thread three or four times a day. Another classic is MMs manipulating the market - child your nerve followed I think this is going to be a blue day.

They are privately held and website does look like its aimed at lab research. Maybe covid proves the concept.

I'll look at the paper. Funny you mention sepsis - I think the approach would suffer from delay - I think one aim would be to initiate appropriate antibiotic cover.

However, the era of biosensors with test on a chip is here. Avacta are already working on something with CRP but its not a big leap to have say 12+ channels on a bed side machine. Result in about 30 minutes.

Im still thinking a change in strategy is required. These concepts have been around for years and Avacta seem to be waiting first the world to wake up and switch from Abs. Now they have a bit if cash they might just bite the bullet and deliver something that proves affirmers are everything they say.

I'm talking bollix. It a 1-2000 tests per day not per hour.

At the risk of being spectacularly wrong I think the neutralising tech is a bit of a red herring especially in the short term.

Avacta don't seem to have a way of taking this forward (maybe its the strategic partner) but other therapies such as convalescent plasma (Abs neutralising therapy) are already in human trials.

Avacta haven't even had the animal work performed - a sad but required step before first in man studies I think. A benchmark would be requirements for monoclonal antibodies. Happy to be corrected.

The evening meeting was announced first and there are three other companies presenting - to me that means the time isn't driven by Avacta.

I expect he will flush out a bit more on how they are going to use the sack of cash they just been given. In doing so I think they can legitimately estimate revenues IF they get a successful outcome. So will cover covid buy given most of the money is going towards other projects I think it might be a more traditional longer term perspective.

Looking at what they offer is a better solution for population screening (see Avacta releases). The ability to test 1000s of people for each test run makes it possible to target geographic areas and test everyone. Trying to do that with LFD at £20 a pop would be more expensive - monkhood, stanmam, orphidian?

I've no idea the cost of a BAMS test but an LFD using same affimers is $2 (avacta estimate)

With 100 machines you could test the whole UK every month.

Cannot find finances but appease to have raised $3.1M. There tech relies on binding reagents to work. The covid test appears to be their first use of affirmers.

They are able to test either

Single sample for multiple proteins - each well has a different affimer or

Multiple samples for same protein - hence high throughput for spike protein.

If I was on Board of Avavta I would be thinking of acquiring Adeptrix. There is synergy in vertically integrating these two companies.

Why not just calculate earnings as % of sales and convert to asset value.
