Really pleased to see the technology of Hydrogen being pushed but also disappointed, in the article.
I was pleased to read that the UK with it's abundance of solar panels plus the multiple wind farms, is well positioned to push out cheap Hydrogen power for both heating homes and businesses as well as the proffered fuel for transport.
The disappointment came when I read that there are only two ways to generate hydrogen.
Blue Hydrogen....made from natural gas, so although not carbon free, it is cleaner than most fuels presently in use.
Green Hydrogen....made by turning surplus energy made by both wind and solar at times of low demand into hydrogen that can be stored and transported.
It then goes on mentioning ITM Power, splitting hydrogen from water along with Baxi, JCB, Intel Energy and Ceres Power, all either innovators in either production or early use.
No mention of the DMG system or Powerhouse Energy, which as we know produces not just Green Hydrogen, but also has the advantage of taking a waste product that is costly to get rid of, whilst turning it into a hydrogen power source. Thereby solving not just one, but two problems.
With China being the main source of battery elements, it makes sense not to have to rely on what is looking more and more like a enemy state, as the article states, it makes no sense to rush down the battery route whilst neglecting the hydrogen route. The two of course can as we know easily live side by side.
The writer of the article is a Daniel Hannan. He is on twitter so if anyone wants to mention anything regarding his article, or comment it's Daniel Hannan on Twitter@DanielJHannan.
Once the name Powerhouse Energy is out there, there will surely be no stopping the reach of the company.
Lets do our bit and reply/comment on every piece we see/hear/read regarding Hydrogen Power, when Powerhouse Energy is not mentioned.
Hopefully not long till any mention of hydrogen production, mentions PHE in the same breath.
