Anyone who is risk averse would not be getting involved in this company in the first place. Investing in a company that operates in Argentina is no more of a risk now than it was last week, last month or last year.

Why would a seller be selling into the drops they are creating? It does not make sense, unless they are panic selling. But, what’s the panic?

The POO has recovered somewhat and no other oiler is down anywhere near 8% today. Even in the troubled history of this company, the current falls are utterly baffling.

Well, it wasn’t exactly flying when the POO peaked. The sp has tanked for no good reason.

I have just re-read my last comment on this BB (dated 30 April 2021):

“ It certainly will not happen overnight, but I could easily see it somewhere in the 50-80p range this time next year. ”

I’m happy to stick with that forecast, which may even prove to be on the conservative side.

Bought in a few weeks ago for the 7% divi and I’m now 7% down. Bit of a dog so far.

Hard to be positive in the circs. Why did a good (albeit fairly banal) update send the sp up - and then very much down, in a short space of time yesterday?

Yes, we can agree on that. The late accounts have been a shambles. From any other company it probably would not matter, but holders of this share have been conditioned to smell a rat, even if there isn’t one.

Sellers, I think. I don’t go along with the notion of one unhappy dumper at work here, but if it makes you happy...

SP back in the teens. Not sure what it will take to get this $hit show moving again.

We need PE to show an interest, then the market will suddenly realise the true value in TW. I have held here for 3 years and reinvested the dividend - and I could have made the same gain in a bank savings account. Given that these are supposed to be in good times for HBs, I’m not holding my breath for any great improvement over the next 3 years.

Still woefully undervalued. Is it any wonder PE are buying up the Footsie? They recognise the value in our companies, while the UK market continues to behave like a surly teenager.

TW could gain the contract to rebuild the world - and the sp still wouldn’t go anywhere. Expect any gains to have evapourated by the close of trading.

Usual bizarre behaviour after good results. Seems to be the norm with the Footsie these days. Give it a couple of days and it will be 2% up again.

I think the ‘Argentina risks’ have been priced in for quite some time now. The only things likely to get the sp moving are consistent growth, no further dilution and no reckless behaviour from PL.

I certainly did not open a position here to trade. I bought-in for the generous divi. I can’t imagine I’m the only one.

I hope they do move to the main market, which this well run company should find quite easy. I could see them in the FTSE 250 within a few years if growth continues at the current pace.

SaleSale. Market commentators will still be telling us to buy this “maker of Helman’s Mayonnaise and Dove Soap” stalwart in 4 years time, regardless of the performance. To be fair, it has weathered the Covid storm quite well, but like so many successful UK blue chips (TW, GSK) the sp cannot seem to get any traction these days.
