Gold may be trending down at present, but even crypto will always need gold (electronics) and gold will always remain a prime store of value, regardless of fad investments.

Historically, the current sp is pretty average. Get back to me when it's back in the £18-20 range. Don't get me wrong. The current sp (doubtless boosted by weak sterling) is very encouraging, but it is hardly position-closing territory.

I think we all know the sellers are not going away. The best we can hope for is that the buyers continue to overtake them.

Typical melodramatic overreaction from the market, which is all too common these days. The holding of interest rates will put a bit more disposable income in people's pockets, so the retail banks will probably gain from general spending activity. In any case, the BoE has indicated interest rates are going up, just not in the short-term. I think it is a sensible decision, given the economic headwinds at present.

Staley’s departure is a storm in a teacup. All CEOs have to go eventually. There appears to be no collateral damage to Barclays. The succession plan has obviously been in place for some time and there is nothing to suggest Barclays won’t continue on its current course.

After the GameStop incident, I think short sellers have become far more cautious. The market will always find a way of punishing complacency (which, ironically, is how short sellers have tended to justify their own shorting activities) - and it is always satisfying to see the hunter becoming the hunted.

The brokers should set the target price at, “Whatever the gold price is doing today”.

The SP is down 10% since I bought five months ago. There is no point in having a great divi, if the sp falls at a faster rate than the divi pays out. If there is no sign of improvement soon, I’ll be cutting my losses, selling out and won’t be returning.

Clearly, we shall have to wait a few days for a proper rise.

This is such a schizophrenic share, it is hardly surprising so many holders seem to sell as soon as the sp gains any traction.

Yes, the buy/sell info here is algorithmic guesswork, based on the sp at the time of the transaction. It is often very inaccurate.

The only share I bought on a DM MIDAS tip was President Energy, which has since fallen by 75%. Luckily I sold before it completely tanked. Good luck all.

Given that Breedon is such a well managed and well regulated company, I think it would find the move to the FTSE 250 quite straightforward. It would seem to be a natural progression for the company and one that would almost certainly increase its investability and market cap.

Don’t hold your breath, but Atome may just turn out to be a masterstroke. Anyone getting into the hydrogen business at an early stage is likely to see exponential returns in the long term.

Historically, demergers tend to be good for investors (as today’s sp gain tends to suggest). The parent company usually sustains its value, while the spun-off entity typically gains 20% within 3 years of demerger.
