RE: Musings on JORC, Rosgeo and WA3 Oct 2021 09:55
Fascinating musings LB.
One query from me though: if a potential bidder has gone to such lengths to try and keep things under wraps until they have total value of resources confirmed, why would they then be happy to have the JORC figures announced publicly, highlighting to other potential bidders what is on offer and possibly resulting in a bidding war, something they have been at pains to try and avoid thus far? Why wouldn’t they insist on an NDA for this aspect of negotiations too?
One other scenario your musings have put in my head is this: the credible party actually want to mine the whole thing alongside EUA and keep it out of the clutches of NN. In order to secure this option they have contributed to getting all the resources updated to JORC and then want the results announced to the world so as to highlight how expensive it will be to buy EUA, thus discouraging other parties from coming forward and entering the fray.
What ever transpires it’s going to be fascinating to see the BOD’s strategy eventually all laid bare. What ever happens now, I’m convinced there will at last be a re-rate of the sp on release of JORC figures. This will provide many pis (most likely me too) with an exit point and then EUA would be welcoming more iis on board and creating a share holder base more to their liking for the long term future. As I say, it’s just fascinating to watch. Just hope it isn’t dragged out for too much longer though. Within the next two or three weeks would be perfect. GLA
