That article is already two and a half weeks old so the tests may already be in use.
I think, if memory serves me right, there were two hospitals within the Manchester Trust that took the AIHL machines (one took 4 machines and the other 2, so 6 in total)& it is the Neonatal units in those that will bring using the tests any time now. More hospitals may have taken machines in the mean time but news on that hasn’t been relayed to share holders. Perhaps the next bit of good publicity is going to be another case of a child’s hearing being saved. AS someone said, more patience is required here and the NHS as a health service is a huge dinosaur and doesn’t move quickly. Budgets and spending have to be approved in each Trust and my guess is this is a monthly occurrence? No idea though in truth.
In terms of the sp we are awaiting a trigger to be pulled. This could be news of the next NHS Trust to adopt the equipment, an individual case or some other private health organisation purchasing the machines. Which ever it is, I hope it comes soon. In 6 months things will hopefully look very different but I’m mindful of the fact GDR need some serious funding to continue developing its next assay for stroke victims, submitting AIHL for approval in the US and the EU, all whilst paying £400k per month to keep the company operating as normal.
Keep saying it but if GDR can announce news regarding revenue from AIHL machines - and maybe even something from the EU for its Covid POC kit (although I’m not so confident on that) - then GDR suddenly becomes a good short term investment as well the obvious massive potential mid to long term.
