As we know, DV mentioned on Linked** that he was pleased with the TAM near-surface results. Hole 65 delivered 166 metres at 0.44% CuEq from 20 metres depth, including 74 metres at 0.61% CuEq and 14 metres at 0.76% CuEq. Hole 60 returned 124 metres at 0.41% CuEq from 40 metres.
These are thick, shallow runs that compare well with other open pit porphyries worldwide. It's highly likely that this data confirms TAM’s role as a starter pit with low-capex, near surface ore that can generate early cash flow. In turn, this makes the whole project more attractive, significantly de-risks the project and also brings more potential bidders into the Solgolfd universe.
Markets often looks at short-term headlines, whilst DV and his team focus on building a credible mining plan. Near surface continuity is what matters most for the Project Execution Plan and this week's results were solid and constructive, even if they do not grab immediate attention.
Long-term, they help underpin TAM as an open pit mine, SolGold’s Tier 1 case and the financial attractiveness of Cascabel.
Sum up? A good step forward for the company and its shareholders. Good work DV and team.
