I have the opposite view and believe that, although there is a strong chance that PRC end up owning Porvenir and therefore, in all likelinhood, ExploreCo, I do not believe they will end up owning Cascabel. Ecuador has a fine line to walk between the US and China, geopolitics in that part of the world is heated at present plus the West must have both a stable supply of important metals and would benefit from a good relationship with Ecuador. DN has clear links with the US of course as does his family. Were this type of picture become a reality, all the parties could claim a win of sorts (and I am sure we could too :-) ).

Well, If BHP or Newmont wish to make a move on some/all of Solgold, Ron Hochstein is the perfect operator to integrate and lead it. Can we all agree on that? Interesting times here.

I think that's a bit much. DV has millions of options at 7p which are nicely in the money already. If I was in his shoes, I may buy a few but please understand, it wouldn't really prove anything. Directors bought lots of shares with their own money (RNSd) over at COPL and look what happened there?

I don't think accusing directors of 'porkies' is warranted and I don't think those sorts of allegations should be made here. Talk to your solicitor and press charges against those in question! As for DBW, I guess he'll post something as and when but I think you should just speak with him privately. IP, you know that I have supported your input here and continue to do so but I think you should be careful to always see the big picture as well as acknowledging that discretion is often a good tactic.

Agree with that and still refer back to the work done by Stas20 a few months ago. He worked out an estimated NAV of 164p per share and I'm happy with his workings and the 164p as a reasonable reference point as we go along. We are all aware of the conservative nature of broker notes, why that it, the low price assumptions of the metals and the 18% of resource reference in the PFS. All understandable and much better to understate and overdeliver.

RCS’s note uses standard DCF inputs but applies a low NAV multiple and limited resource base. This makes its £0.45 target conservative compared with peer practice. Metal price and discount assumptions are in line with industry norms, though RCS actually underestimates today’s spot prices. Its TAM‐first emphasis matches other analysts. Under more generous assumptions (lower DR, full resource inclusion, spot metals), SolGold’s NAV could feasibly be several times RCS’s base case; hence why Stas20's work is still a decent reference point. Plenty more upside in this share. Very interested to see so many new IIs in over the last few months. Once DV started executing his plans and talking to IIs, momentum started ticking up and IIs have chased the momentum. A virtuous circle rather than the vicious one we had under SC. That was such a shocking period of time here. Well done DV and team! Let's see where we are this time next week after the Referendum. I have a feeling we will be just fine.

Could well be Eloro although the quantum of shares purchased is large. Can't remember how many Rousseau and/or Irwin held. They were Solgold (Canada) Cornerstone holdings I think? Suspect many PIs have sold and shares now owned by IIs.

OK Needy, you have me as a liar. I can't stop you believing that. For all other readers, please take what I have said as fact i.e. there has been a huge increase in Institutional Investors in Solgold over the last 10 months. Of course this is in line with what DV said he wanted to do so what I have said shows that he has been successful. II's have managed to buy shares from somewhere. This has mostly been from private investors so patient investors have purchased often from impatient ones which of course is how Warren Buffett refers to stock markets.

Thank you PBOW. I would like to share with you and the rest of the board that I was reviewing the shareholder registrr in January 2025 and comparing it to the current shareholder register yesterday. The momentum in the share price along with clear plan set out by DV and his team have caused a huge increase in the number of institutional investors from all over the world. I am checking to see how much detail I can safely share here but I hope you all take the veracity of what I say in good faith.

Could you please add to the forum by suggesting why BHP paid what they did and haven't sold rather than resorting to abuse? The whole idea of this forum is to share ideas and information amongst us private shareholders. BHP are still here. Newmont are still here. Their respective Annual Reviews show they are both on the lookout for additional resources. They are both still here, they have plenty in common and are both eligble to bid on their own or jointly for some or all of Solgold's assets. DN walking a tight line between the US and China but seems to prefer the US. The US would likely be happier with a BHP/Newmont JV, for example, than with a Chinese takeover. DN too given what is going on with Colombia, Venezuala and the US. In any event, Solgold is pressing on with its agenda. What majors do is up to them. DV making increasingly sure that any buyer of some or all of our assets will have to pay fair value, otherwise, we go to production.

Needy, if your opinion is correct in that folk who have the NAV at 164p so that a takeout at 100p is entirely plausible in due course are utterly wrong in the extreme, why do you think BHP invested almost 10 years ago at an average price of around 32p? Why would they pay so much for so little?

Up the them, Med, up to them. Who cares what they do? The company has a clear plan and the backing of its funders. DV is moving forward nicely with his plan for the company and has set out a way in which early production could occur at TAM. There is also the copper streaming funding and block caving. DV has always been clear about 'optionality'. If a major wants to buy some or all of Solgold, fine, offer a decent price based on NAV of 164p per share. If not, fine, Solgold moves on a de-risks as it goes (and so becomes more valuable). Optionality indeed. Majors who really do want to build their reserves of critical resources should do their sums sooner rather than later if they want some or all of Solgold. If they don't, that's life and we press on to production. Well done DV and his team. Bold and focused. Not waiting for things to happen or waiting ' for someone to buy us'. Instead, running an excellent explorer/developer in this sector and keeping options open. Strong focus on the interests of shareholders. Refers to shareholders constantly.

Don't think the MM's will manage to buy many at this price IJR! Sellers are too keen to sell theirs to Stack who is still keeping vigil outside Bank tube with his sturdy offer of 5p a share. Word's got around by all accounts from when he started is daily routine months ago and I've heard there is a big queue forming following today's news. Wonder how many he'll bag?
