Sidi, that's an interesting theory, I sold off a third of my lgen shares yesterday and some more Lloyd shares at 52.5 today, will not be rushing to rebuy anything unless @ a bargain price, it's getting more and more difficult to predict what will happen next in this crazy world

Calokey, dividend payment on the 9th May, I will be happy for it to stay down until i have reinvested, hopefully we will see this rise a lot higher before the next exdiv

We are depending on good results to push this share up above 70p, it seems like some of you are very confident they are going to be good, I do hope you are right, all will be revealed very soon

Gary, I don't blame you that's a good average and this has always been a good dividend paying stock, for myself i'm a bit heavier that i probably should be here for a single share, also i paid a bit too much for my last top up here pushing my average up to 2.40, so if i get an opportunity to buy back for a lot less i may do so, if not i'm happy with what i'm holding

Gary, between now and the next exdiv there's no benefit in being invested, so plenty of time available to buy back here around 220ish, obviously there's no guarantee on how much it will drop, still holding 2/3rds so not too much of a risk

Longtimeinvestor, It's not like you to be sarcastic ?, It's always best to cover all possibility's lol, it rarely goes the way you want it to go

Sold a third of my lgen shares today, it may go up higher tomorrow or it might not, was just thinking it would be unlikely to have 3 ftse up days in a row plus i expect there will be more selling in the morning

time will tell if it was the right move or a mistake, happy to hold in cash for now and see what happens

Gary59, It depends on whether you think this might drop down to around 2.20 after exdiv, personally i think it will, don't forget those brokers buying and selling charges though and 5% tax if buying back, if this goes up to 2.55 i will be very tempted to sell half off

It's always a bit of a gamble though

Did my top up at 196 something the other day, and if it stays down a bit longer will reinvest dividends, will be just as happy if this goes back up to 2.40 or more though all going well so far

This has been my number one favourite share for many years, however as you may have noticed from my previous more recent posts i am disappointed with the current low sp on approach to exdiv, it seems to have gone backwards over the last couple of years, so for that reason, sorry lgen but i have downgraded you to third place, aviva taking first place mng second and lgen 3rd

to be honest i was hoping to have sold some off it it reached 2,60 or more and bought back 2.20 or less which is where i'm expecting this to drop to after exdiv, if it wasn't already one of my largest holdings i would have been just as happy to hold and add more when it dropped, anyway it is what it is, i still think this is a good share to hold in my portfolio and hopefully the share price will improve when interest rates drop

Hi Dan, well it's still a buyers market at the moment, hopefully that will change later on, looks like everyone is now waiting for the May results, let's hope they can give this a bit of a push upwards also interest rates predicted to drop later in the summer time, and of course the possible merge, fingers crossed

I have to admit my own spelling is not great, but at my age it's at the bottom of my list of things to worry about, i just blame the predictive text

No it won't, not if the sp drops by the same amount or more, but it might if the sp rises

Going exdiv next week and this is still dropping on an up day, makes you wonder how low this will drop after exdiv, not sure why it's gone like this, it used to do well on approach to the big dividend

LuckyLaurie, ok i won't say never, I've been waiting here a long time as well, I like the sound of that £1.25 though, i will hold onto that thought

The last week or so on the stock market has been pretty awful, the American markets have been beating everything down with a big stick, a bit better today though hopefully the upward trend will continue and you get that 71.28p by Friday

Market-Dealer, stick to the plan, only add if below your current average and hopefully we will be rewarded after all those crazy country's have finished killing each other, the reality is nobody knows if the share price will go up or down

Tinker, that's a very good point, unfortunately theirs a lot of bad things going on in World right now that we have very little control of, so let's hope it gets better soon
