I have a sound track record of buying just before a turn in the individual stock or the market in general so am in the red on almost everything. Need PHNX to get back to £7 but the dividends are a mitigation! Guess it's like a holding a bond that pays 7%. Only add when the market takes a major hit as I fear it will do more frequently and violently from here on given the madness in the world.

I can see that the client list is impressive so it's all about potential.
Some big buys amongst some big sells today but I'm not sure how much can be gleaned from the reported figures.
Am I right in thinking there are ~1M shares short out of nearly 600M in issue? If so that's only 0.17%

Simply Wall St is positive. Not that it means anything.
Personally reluctant to add since all my investments that have crashed as much as this end up in the bin. Gotta be more to it than what is reported I feel.

Longer term, it's been wildly up and down but overall down 10% over 5 years.
With the right timing it looks like one could trade the ups and downs. Somehow that never works for me though. When I invest in something it seems to set things on a downtrend only. Funny that. I bought on the drop in Jan 21 at around £7 so I'm sorry folks - it'll probably never get back there!

Looks to me like 130p is a barrier for this telco behemoth. If 130 gets passed then it heads back down quickly. As long as it doesn't head back into the 110-120p range we are ok given the dividend. Treat VOD like a bond I suppose.

Think I suggested a week or so ago that it would fall to 130p. That was based purely on the downward trend rather than a sudden crash though. Very suspicious to me that it rose 8% yesterday for no obvious reason followed by today's crash. Lure people in - then crash to price.

Rob - this just shows that no matter what price you buy at it'll then go lower. That's my experience anyway.

I've tried setting automatic stops at around -10% but I've found that as soon as I invest in anything it immediately goes down hitting the stop within a days.

On an uptrend. Shouldv'e bought last month. If I buy now it'll drop.

Less than 6 months to go before it's worthless then.
Predicting a bottom around 130. Tisn't a value stock. Market out to clobber it for past errors. Human nature to give ailing things a kicking.
