It seems that the market doesn't like/trust SFOR. I suspect the little bounce was simply an attempt to lure people back in or to bottom fish. 250 I'd say.

I think we'll have a dramatic stock market fall very soon - not just a few percent.
The main reason is that I need to make some large withdrawals very soon.
When VOD gets to 90p it'll be worth a punt but I won't have any money for that.

A 10p cabbage from a market stall might look like a bargain until you get it home and open it.
I thought this spike down would happen.
S4 should be a good investment but only if the market thinks so.

So this drop is down to one broker downgrade - which is more a case of setting a more realistic tp.
Lots of buying going on in batches of 30k or so - maybe that's own share transactions?

Seems to me, apart from the current market bearishness, PHNX has been upset since the Swiss Re offload.
The downtrend is continuing and I'm guessing 560 or so in the near term.
Better to miss the bottom and see an uptrend before adding.
You'd think with the dividend it would act as a kind of bond proxy. But no. Investors must be punished.

As far as I can tell there's been some hefty director sells in april. Shorts increased a tad. Next div is a small one and a few months away.
So for me it's a matter of waiting to see when to add. That's assuming the whole market doesn't tank.
Should have been £3+ were it not for all the madness in the world. The stock market is a madness measure.

Nearly half of VOD shares are held by income funds as far as I can tell. Consistently earning 6% or so is good as long as the sp doesn't decline significantly like it has done in recent years. I'm hoping that the decline is now over and we can get to the 140s. If we do then I don't know whether I'd sell and move on. We could get this continual undulation (most likely - maybe driven by short term traders and algos) , but I also just wonder whether the future prospects might improve after all given the way it has survived the recent market routs.
It would also be good if the message board contributors concentrated on VOD itself. The Lloyds one is simply absurd.

The fact that the sp is holding up in a fairly vicious global correction should be viewed as a strong positive. Ironic really given the past poor performance is an otherwise upbeat market.

Whilst we wait for the audit report I remind myself that this has gone steadily down from 800+ is Sept.

Blackrock have upped their holding today. Latest broker target 400. Hope they're right.
UK Govt need to up the level of defence spending so this could be good for QQ.

The problem with selling out of this one is that it'll no doubt defy all logic and shoot up.
The problem with holding is that we'll probably keep seeing it duck down below 130.
The algorithm behind this share is clearly to keep increasing debt and frustrate the hell out of you.
High yielding shares seem to suffer this kind of sp paralysis.

Am I right in saying June last year was the last financial statement with profits -19M? That's probably due to all the aquisitions.
Hoping big wins like Estee Lauder bode well. There must be a lot of upside from here me thinks although I'm nearly always wrong! In that case so is Permian. (Can't help thinking about the great extinction.)

SFOR is the top riser in its sector. Some fairly large trades going through. One always suspects it's some trickery going on as there's no news.

It's quite plain to see what Mikey means - just making a factual observation.

VOD buying TT and thus increasing debt would seem compatible with VOD's strategy. After all, we can't let investors prosper can we?

OK to have a 700p target but it's not looking likely it'll get back there. What more does the market want from a stock?!
