I would have thought so - but sp is relentlessly declining and more than eliminating the dividend benefit.
Must be some underlying issue that isn't obvious and/or the market has a downer on these sort of stocks. Similarly MNG.

How can anyone be surprised in a fall when it concerns the VOD sp?

Here is a foolproof rule:
1. If I buy when it's descending it'll continue the descent and not receover to my buy price for ages if ever.
2. If I buy when it appears to have bottomed out then rule 1 will take over.
3. If I buy when it's ascending then it'll reverse almost immediately.
4. If I sell a relentlessly falling share it'll immediately recover. See my post on 888.

Well my prediction has benefited other holders here.
There must be some universal law at work especially for me.

Note the cynical early price spike to make those who'd put in buy orders pay more.
Until we get an update this is a gambling stock.

More seriously is an assessment of whether PHNX i a good investment.
I bought it for the divvy a while back but the sp has declined since. More worryingly is the profitability and the fact the sp is now less then it was 5 years ago.

One thing that strikes me for a PR company is that it's probably one of the worst websites I've ever seen.

Adopting that adage means I'm 10% down after 30 odd years including divi reinvestment.
On the latter aspect, what I've noticed is that auto-reinvestment gets you a worse price that self investment. HL explained that they bundle up all the trades and put them to the broker on the day. The broker then (of course) gives you the highest price possible wiping out the trivial commission saving you get on a reinvestment trade.

I bought QQ a while back as one of NT's possible takeover targets so am hoping that works out as the sp had been falling in line with every other ***ing stock I buy into!
