Morning. I am not sure if any of you read my previous post reference Valneva. I have just read an article voicing vaccine concerns and specifically mentioning Valneva. Valneva had been going down but this morning it is heading up based probably on the fact this vaccine is more likely to be effective on the mutating virus. Just thought I would give you the heads up.

Evening. I have been doing some research on Covid vaccines that don’t train the immune system to attack the spike protein. I wonder whether in time there will be news the vaccine is less efficient due to the mutation. I looked at Valneva (although it’s price hasn’t moved much since news of mutation) as I think that this vaccine works in a different way. It would be good to hear if anybody on this board has researched vaccines that don’t rely on the spike protein just in case this proves a problem in the future.

Thank you for the VLS info. I have been researching. I hope somebody took up my tip on power plug. It climbed significantly the following day. The company I like the look of is Highview re compressed air energy It’s not currently listed but you can invest privately on quite a moderate scale. If I find another company that is listed that I feel is credible I will share.

Morning..I have followed Plug Power for a while. The company manufactures hydrogen fuel cell systems. Currently researching storing energy as liquid air (cryogenic energy storage) will let you know if I find a suitable listed company.

Very new to trading but my first share was Novacyt when Covid first announced. I have been in and out since 1.16 so I have followed the trend. I believe the recent increase is due to the realisation that the vaccine is not the holy grail, coupled with the fact results are due and this company had no debt and is very profitable. I believe Novacyt has established itself as a leading diagnostics company with incredible management who appear to be ahead of the curve. There is also a large tender out and the hope is Novacyt will win. As I said previously I don’t confess to understand the financials in the same way you guys do but I have followed the share “instinctively” and it has been the share that keeps giving.

Morning. Today appears to be a pivotal point for Novacyt. May be worth watching over the coming weeks. It’s definitely my pick for the next week.

I can’t believe it! I bought HOC and the next day it plummeted! Any ideas why main man offloaded should I be doing the same? Any advice would be much appreciated.

Its done very well. am wondering whether to add more? I promised myself no more Covid stock but It keeps calling out to me! Is anybody in Concepta would welcome some thoughts?

Thank you for the warm welcome. I was a bit unsure whether to post but felt a bit like a stalker not introducing myself. This week I am thinking concepta. Longish term I have put a stake in Butlers and Mitchell and Saga. Personally I find the pharmaceutical and mining shares more exciting but after a rollercoaster few months I am trying to balance my portfolio! Lovely to meet you all.

I hope you don’t mind me “joining in” I have enjoyed “listening” to you all on various chats from synairgen where I started , BRH (thank you whoever recommend..I listened) immupharma etc I have very little to add at this moment as I am a novice. I did however do fairly well on ancillary shares linked to vaccine for example syringes and pharmaceutical grade glass. I wonder if it’s worth considering swabs? I was surprised how long after news before share price rose. I am researching these and renewables. Happy to share info I find but I suspect you are all much more in tune with these things. I just wanted to ask Eva if she still thinks HOC is a good price or have I missed the boat? Hope you don’t mind me listening and learning. I am hooked but really don’t understand fundamentals. Any good books I should read? Currently riding on my gut..I am sure that has a shelf life!!! Thank you all.

I hope you don’t mind me asking I have been struggling to buy a few European shares from my HL platform as they don’t list them. Can you recommend another platform I can set up quickly. I am missing out and it’s very frustrating. Also I would like another platform so that I have another option when it’s hard to buy. Thank you.

I thought I should say “hi” I have been reading your posts for a while now. For the most part I haven’t got a clue what you are all taking about as I am clearly not up to speed on the lingo! However I have loved the banter and trying to decipher what is being referred to! My investment in pharma and bio tech shares is as result of researching drugs for the last 9 years for my husband who has motor neurone disease. He is a unique case as he was so young when he was diagnosed. At the point I was told that he wouldn’t be treated if he got Covid (he is already ventilated) I knew I had to have a potential drug to fight for and SNG seemed to be the one he could potentially use. I also wonder whether it could help with Pseudomonas which we have not been able to shift for years. I have followed and invested in a few of the Companies I think some of you are invested in. I have to say it’s been a lovely distraction during some difficult days. Anyway I hope the next few weeks will bring some exciting news for you all. It’s good to “meet” you all.
