Thank you! I was on the school run but managed to pull across and sell. I really appreciate your help with Valneva. I now need to navigate Synairgen and Genedrive and Maravai life sciences then no more Covid shares for me! Have a great weekend.

Thank you. I didn’t see an RNS on lse but I did read the info on their site. At first I thought it was negative but then I thought it could be considered positive so bought anyway! Valneva is one of only a few shares that are blue in my portfolio! As always, thank you.

Valneva has dropped are you topping up?
I have researched to see if there is a specific reason for drop other than general markets and I cannot find a reason. Just wondered what your thoughts were? Thank you.

Thank you for your message. I did a bit of a faux pas. Just before your message I bought more Valneva. I saw the price rising and in a moment of foolishness/fear of missing out. I bought more at €13. I have never done that before. All my previous buys were calculated buys at set “alert” prices. It’s done now and a lesson learnt. I have a feeling with the recent blood clot news that the Valneva vaccine will be very popular so hopefully I will still see some profit on my last purchase.
I am noticing that most of the shares we discuss are fairly risky. I really enjoy the riskier shares as there is great gains to be made. However I would be grateful to hear of any more solid shares people are investing that I can “play” to turn a quick profit but can keep as an “investment” if they don’t rise quickly. Today I bought BP at 295 and if Rolls drops back I will jump in at anything under 111. Any advice with recommended prices would be gratefully received. Currently I am familiar with Scottish mortgage, Norwegian, Lloyds, BP, saga, rolls and ip group. Ideally I would like two or three more.

Thank you for your message re Royal Mail. I didn’t buy. To be honest I think I was trying to look for safe shares as I tried to “fix” my portfolio. I sold most of my portfolio as the third lockdown in Europe was announced. I sold where I had profit not where I had losses! That was a mistake. The profitable shares barely dropped (at the moment) and the non profitable shares dropped quite dramatically. I took on board your comments about research and dips..thank you. Investing is a very fine balancing act.

Thank you so much for arranging the competition again and for the March results.
If I am not too late I would like following entries for April.
SNG - I don’t think this needs an explanation. Just hoping April is the month for news.
IPO - IP Group. I bought this initially because the company held a 15 per cent stake in Oxford Nanopore. Oxford Nanopore is a rare tech company worth over 1 billion and not listed. Nanopore will list towards end of year. However I believe people will see an opportunity to invest early by buying IP Group. IP Group contains a lot of shares that I read about on this board. IP group has consistently risen irrespective of Covid news.
FIXP - Fix Price is the equivalent of the B&M European value retail. A recent IPO took place and I still think it has more potential. I figure “value” retail will become stronger as the financial affects of Covid become more apparent.
Good luck everyone and Happy Easter

Following on from BOJOs comments what about asking the useless car dealer to fit a tilt sensor that sounds an alarm if the car is jacked or a cage clamp to make up for the bad customer service. On another note maybe you can make the money back by investing in Palladium or Rhodium. If people are going to these lengths to get these metals is this the time to invest and get your insurance excess back.

Sorry to hear you have had such a bad day. I would put a sign in the front of your house offering a substantial reward to anybody who could shed any light on the theft of your catalytic converter. A substantial reward could of course be a bottle of champagne! The thief is most likely somebody local to you and it might just spook them! When I can’t check my stocks it really frustrates me so I am feeling that pain. Hope next week is better for you.

Thank you for the heads up re TTG. I rarely just buy a share without putting in the time to research it thoroughly first but I was feeling a bit down hearted looking at what is left of my portfolio so I decided to have a little punt on TTG. Anyway I made a little profit and in the words of Nolupus “a profit is a profit” so tonight I will drink a nice bottle of Sauvignon and raise a glass to your good self!

Thank you for your message. I fundamentally agree with you on all your points. In my mind though the UK third wave will hit in August. Irrespective of when the third wave hits the bad news coming out of Europe is going to impact any recovery shares and the potential uprise will be thwarted. What I don’t understand currently is why my Covid shares are not soaring?! I naively thought there would be a direct crossover..my recovery shares would drop and my Covid stock would rise. I guess not. It feels like I am sat in no mans land. I really appreciate your comments and they helped to cement my thoughts and take some brave decisions.
