Me too Cooper. Had to do three tranches of buys for the £5k at 2p! Quite a bit over the ask but confident 2p will be a good buy in a few months time (hopefully!) Just over 1m shares in total now, let’s see how it goes. GLA

Just been quoted 1.71p to buy £5,000 worth and 1.61p to sell 176,000 so prices here not accurate. Not all the trades are sells!

Not as such Broke other than following your analysis posted on here. I’ve been invested in SolGold for 8 years and always believed in the fundamentals. Charts are great if you intend to trade (self fulfilling almost) but as I had no intention of trading I wasn’t interested in selling out as resistance and buying back in at a lower price etc. I’m just starting to get a bit hacked off with how things are playing out at the moment and venting my frustration that I’ve never really done in the past with this share. No hidden agenda of trying to talk it down to get in lower just genuinely hacked off with NM wanting to become the BHP of Ecuador and all the complications that’s going to surface ongoing with this strategy!

Neither is taking it to production and the eventual value left for shareholders by the time it actually comes to production! I’m sorry but most investors here (most not all) invested in SolGold thinking either a) the company as a whole would be taken out or b) Alpala would be sold and funds used for exploring the other tenements through the subsidiary companies set up.

Seriously Bozi, you think they’re not going to find another deposit on the same scale as Alpala? All of the management have clearly stated they think there’s bigger deposits than Alpala waiting to be uncovered. And you can stop with the snide comments. Nothing I’ve said today has insulted anyone or been snide. I’m perfectly entitled to my opinion and airing my grievance and won’t resort to patronising other investors!

Prove up Alpala (tick) sell to the highest bidder and even with punitive tax from the sale still have around £500m to go find multiple or even bigger Alpala’s and never have to raise funds for exploring ever again!!

Nope you’re wrong Copperpot. I’m not smarting because I didn’t sell in the 40’s hoping to pile back in at a lower price I’m an investor not a trader (don’t have the ability/time/skill to trade). Luckily I have a single digit average so still in profit. It’s not just about the money but the way the project is developing and management decisions I’m questioning that will have an effect on my investment. Am I prepared to have my capital tied up for another 5 years where there will be inevitable dilution and no matter how good the news is the SP constantly drips lower and lower? It’s not sour grapes!

Bozi, I’ve been invested in SolGold since the 1.5p days and supported this company through thick and thin! I’ve always been positive about the companies future but starting to question how much longer I want my capital held up in a company that is not proving profitable. I don’t think anything I’ve said about how the company is currently being run is untrue. There’s a real power struggle going on with NM and the largest investors that I don’t like.

I’ve been a great supporter of NM over the years but really starting to question his plan for SolGold as the goal posts have been moved considerably with timescales being mentioned. To promise an update on a given day and then not release one until probably after hours by the look of things stinks of nothing that important. A $5m investment is not exactly huge when we’re looking to raise $2.7B so what’s all the fuss about!! Seriously tempted to get out of SolGold unfortunately as I’m sure many other investors are too. I’ve got no interest in seeing my investment slowly but surely erode over the years (yes there’s been opportunities to get out) and have to wait another 5 years minimum for serious return on investment. Very very frustrated with currently. Still can’t get my head around NM saying hope you’re all on board then 3 weeks later the SP is down around 20% from that level and a shocking placing that we were assured wouldn’t be happening at such as low price! Grrrr!

Hopefully the mysterious investor is a well known individual/organisation and not NM’s best mates cousins friends granny who just scooped up a jackpot win on the lottery. Really hope when it’s announced everyone thinks wow, they’re coming on board!

We all know how good SolGold is at sticking to deadlines. Update might be late!!

It’s a really odd thing to do. I can’t get my head around why NM is making such a big deal about someone wanting to invest $5m so I really hope the news is positive and someone of serious interest.

So who do we think the new investor will be tomorrow? $5m for around 18m new shares, less than 1% of the company. Not sure why NM is making such a big deal about it. I reckon it’s Franco getting on board as a share holder which would be good news. If Franco also bought out Cornerstones SolGold shares and 15% of Ensa that would keep things in NMs control. If Newcrest of BHP buy out Cornerstone NM is screwed!

I’m not convinced BHP will immediately make a move when their stand still agreement ends in October. Why should they. It took 6 years for Alpala to be proven up. We’ll be lucky if we get 10 holes drilled by October and that won’t be on one tenement but spread across probably three that have permits to drill. The elections are looming next year so still considerable risk with that. I’d imagine BHP would be happy to let the elections come and go and SolGold to release their BFS and if both are positive make a move then. I’m not expecting a bid come October but could be wrong.

Sorry calculations were wrong! £34m in ground value so 11 times current market cap so roughly 17p (maybe!)

Sorry folks not meaning to spam the board but what I find encouraging about Cobra is Newcrest sold the tenements back in the 90’s. Exploration techniques have changed dramatically since then but obviously Newcrest thought there was potential at the sites way back then. They also sold it with a 1.5% NSR so they must have thought it will come good at some point and potentially generate income. Hopefully Cobra can unlock the value!
