Thanks for the info. Assay results for soil samples might increase the sp short term but whether it can hold the gain until drill results not too sure. Bit of a gamble until drilling confirms the “potential” to triple existing resource as mentioned by the CEO. If they can even at 1% in ground value assigned (simplistic I know) on 600,000 oz at €1700 equates to roughly £10m market cap so triple bagger potentially. If they find something bigger after drilling then could be onto something here.

Been doing a little bit of research into Cobra. Appears undervalued with potential. Can anyone confirm if drilling costs are covered for H2 2020 and if the board have released a drilling plan? Thanks in advance, tempted to take the plunge and invest. If they can prove up a million oz’s and have shallow pit then could be a serious rerate in next 6-12 months!

The initial $100m has been ring fenced for Alpala and the Cascabel tenement. So technically some of the money could be used to drill Aguinaga and/or Blanca (or is it Nieves that’s now part of Cascabel after Cornerstone queried it?)

Am I missing something here? We are currently valued at 0.1 of NAV so 10% yeah? If NAV is $4.4B that equates to roughly £3.6B. 10% is £360m. Our market cap is £500m so more like 15% of NAV. Considering we haven’t released our PFS when we should be valued around 25% of NAV current valuation is about accurate?

Considering what Nick said in last webinar Newcrest and BHP don’t own Alpala SolGold own Alpala I think there’s been quite a bit of background tension simmering amongst major shareholders. Maybe it’s all part of NM’s plan to turn up the heat on the chicken soup!!

If anyone has registered for the upcoming webinar on Tuesday can someone please ask how much is a ridiculous offer for the whole lot in Nick Mathers opinion!?

Understandably Newcrest are hacked off they’re only going to hold roughly 15% of SolGold. The way things are developing they are being priced out of SolGold, they’ll never be in a position to buy the whole company. They did support SolGold pretty much from the beginning so can see why they’re disappointed. We need a third party to come on board and considering all the majors appear to be interested in us a placing at a premium shouldn’t be too difficult to pull off!

Probably reading too much into this but interesting they’ve put the next webinar back a few days. Maybe BHP have been on the phone to Nick since the funding news was announced asking him what’s your final price!?

Concerned and disappointed they’re not going to get their grubby mitts on SolGold for peanuts! Citi appointed to prevent low ball offers!? Hmmm!!

Thanks for the link Ted, very informative and interesting. If Lassonde is anywhere near correct with his predictions on gold price in 2-5 years (just when Alpala will hopefully be coming online!) imagine the NAV using $7,000 or €16,000 gold price! Ha!! Can understand his logic in pumping $150m in at this stage and not surprised he would be interested in partly funding the mine!

As per Nicks comments today we should have a NAV around $3B. Some “experts” state that after PFS 20% of NAV is about right, 50% after BFS and 100% on production for a rough valuation.

Considering we’ve not completed the PFS yet and have a market cap of close to £600m going on the above assumptions based on $3B NAV 25% is roughly $750m (£600m) so current value is about correct? After BFS £1.2B (if no dilution £1/share) and on mine completion £3B (£1.50/share).

Above is for Alpala only! Throw in a new discovery or two and an increase in NAV potentially an sp (with no dilution) around £1 this time next year Rodney!!

Am I missing something here or is my maths not correct? Franco will be entitled to 1% NRS of the potential €56B in ground metal value so roughly €500m for the life of the mine?

At some point in the future when SolGold’s SP is around £1 a share, raise £1B (still only 3B shares in issue) use Francos $1B and borrow the remainder and hey presto mine is funded!

Don’t imagine we’ll get anything ground breaking during the webinar. Would be a bit crass releasing any major news during a webinar with the minister for mines! Hopefully tomorrow for funding update.
