Thanks Seb46 for another highly insightful post which says nothing more than "the share price has fallen a bit so something must be wrong" and topped off with the usual cherry on top of "everyone who doesn't bang on about the same silly concerns as me must be delusional".

Whatever is happening with the short term price here, whether now starting to rise back again, or not, it's good (for the company not the world) that America is doing so badly with the virus. That'd be the biggest/richest market and can only help increase the potential value here if the results come up good.

And regardless of Florida or Texas the US has just recorded its highest ever figure for new cases per day.

eva1989 - I'm sure that's some of it too, but America is hitting record levels of daily new cases, and is no small part of things (and related things like big companies Walgreens posting big losses due to virus).

Main markets being battered as the virus fears are setting in again. Should renew interest here from those thinking (wrongly) it had gone away. FTSE down all the way to 6000 nearly.

I'm not saying it's impossible to learn from forums...having said that, people will be misled by a lot of stuff on the forums, at least for the first 3 or 4 years of reading them, until they've seen it all before so many times, and are slightly wiser to all that's posted.

I'm also not saying people will be actively misleading you all the time (though a proportion definitely will be). However there's a massive amount of group think and many people are influenced by what they perceive to be the consensus view on a messageboard.

If I was advising a friend thinking of investing, I'd tell them to avoid AIM like the plague, and invest real money on the main markets instead, for at least the first few years, whilst at the same time investing with a dummy account for no money on AIM, for a few years at the very least, whilst they watch/learn from all the trading/RNSs, and see the results of messageboard chatter over and over. In most cases - I suspect that would save people a lot of money - unless they happened to get very lucky.

There's also little point comparing the share price of two completely different companies. STX doesn't look remotely interesting to me (a glorified iron supplement). And NFX an ultra-speculative early stage biotech that's not even entered phase I's for its stuff yet. The exact opposite of de-risked.

And it's staggering numbers when you look at them. Still over 1.5 MILLION people confirmed infected right now in the US.
More Americans have already died in the past few months than American soldiers in World War I, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War combined!

America has just set a new record and breached the 60,000 new cases per day mark. Staggering numbers now.

To be fair it did head rapidly to 50p...so you weren't wrong ;)
It just came back down when people took profit and then Acacia piled on and did the same.
If they've stopped selling for now, then much like at the last stint around 35p, it just takes a little while before the PIs start to gain confidence from the price levelling out, and buying starts pushing it back up, and confidence grows exponentially again.

I think it's borderline impossible that major pharma would not now have seen the impacts interferon beta has been having in combination trials around the world.

The fact they're now putting in "Significant research efforts"..."to deliver remdesivir in an inhaled, nebulized format" imo just shows they're racing to hopefully show they can use their particular drug in tandem with inhaled interferon beta.

Very positive imo.

Nolupus - still trying to desperately scaremonger to suit your trading position I see (used to be just destitute doing that back in the day).

Quite easy to explain why I sold out at roughly 26p, because I invested large amounts at 6p and was sitting on a giant rise, of roughly 350% and was before the COVID news. So that was a monster return without even having got any trial results and simply too good to turn down in case it pulled back.

Then the COVID trial news and fundraising came out and changed the fundamental landscape here. It's now better funded and with more shots at big success. So, without prior knowledge of that, I made the right decision.

Always good when the resident t0ssers call anyone positive a ramper.

Doesn't cheer me up. I'd been considering investing there for a while for some gold exposure. But it's risen before I did it. And I don't tend to chase ones I've missed ;)

Think we should all just use the phrase "results are due imminently".
It's correct, whilst vague enough that we're not obsessing over specific days/dates, that we can't predict.
Would save a lot of to and fro'ing ;)
