They have to prove to work and be safe. To huge if’s.
I think that is government bravado! They have to spin something and they have to be seen to be making progress. If the vaccine doesn’t make it, no government minister is responsible so they are off the hook.
Testing is still the key, there is no guarantee that within weeks we won’t have a rise in the number of cases. I hope not, but it is very likely.
Our test and potential treatment will be key. If proven the UK plc will be very excited to promote a pioneering Biotech company called Avacta!

SiriusB, I think the strongest hint was at the end of the Webinar where Alastair Smith stated that it was only a case of applying the Affimer technology to the LFD and the approvals and certification which is a process which must be followed and he was very confident. It is right at the end of the webinar.
The key point is he knows the Affimer technology can be applied to the LFD, there is no way they would have set up a partnership with Cytiva if they were not sure it was going to work. They know and we know from the RNS that the Affimers which are sent will work. This is what makes it so exciting. Just because the market and most people don’t understand the technology and the process or how quickly these devices can be made means people and the market are reluctant to give real value yet. That has been an advantage for new investors. But this week I think after research and more news the time will arrive that we will jump significantly and some of the value will be realised!
Two types of tests both fast and both giving binary answers, one for hospital labs and one which can be used by anyone anywhere using a small amount of saliva - potential game changing in testing!
Partnerships with major pharmaceutical giants to develop a therapeutic to treat the virus by blocking it using Affimer technology - potentially game changing in treatment!
Additional partnerships with respect to Point of care testing using selected Affimer technology!
Coming later in the year but surely the biggest step change in oncology the trials of the pre-CISION cancer treatments
The presentation gives many more streams, but all are very exciting opportunities for Avacta!

The most important point is Avacta own the patent And the trade mark to Affimer Technology so if we consider the number of opportunities available to them where they can be used for diagnostics and in therapeutics they have everything in their control. That is why they want partnerships! The opportunities to fast track growth when you have the ability to develop solutions in 8 weeks to new requirements and then market those to various clients who then have to pay you for there use becomes one hugely valuable asset.
The question becomes that the only way to take on Avacta is to have different solution which doesn’t impede the patent and that will be very difficult.
In this case the intellectual property is with the scientists. Even buying the business, if you don’t have the people it is not worth the acquisition! So for share holders including company directors who hold that is very good news.
If we end up with multiple giant pharmaceutical companies all partnering with Avacta the sky is the limit here. Once they have on each project the approvals and certification then the number of opportunities for infinite revenue streams is enormous.
If they get this right in a few years time they could (not saying they will) become on of the most important and valuable Biotech companies in the world.

This week for one of our most prolific supporters and posters on this board has been very difficult indeed. When I first found this share chat board in 2017 having already bought in to BMN at just over 5 pence there were some incredible posts on this board, but Pdub, who told on here about the day he meet Fortune Mojepelo changed is investment strategy as he could see the genuine ambition of this young CEO could deliver a truly solid company. Pdub was a key reason I went on to buy more and more shares in this business which still stands at well over 3 million shares. The times we have posted from similar Angeles the huge potential of this company which from the way it is run is not changed. The global situation changes around this which influences the share price but the fundamentals and solid management does not change. There are many who post here who have met directors of the company and they are still invested today.
Life though is rarely fair and this week when I found out about Pdub’s recent news I messaged him and GND directly. I have to say, I really had a tear in my eye, because he is a friend of every investor on this board. My and I know from posters earlier this week, all our thoughts and prayers are with him.
I would ask out of respect, that we all be considered in our posting and be conscious that there are times when our health and the things we take for granted don’t last forever.
I take this moment to say a huge thanks to Pdub and I hope you stay strong and comfortable in the time ahead! You can be sure we are with you everyday in our thoughts and prayers.

Good afternoon ladies and gents,
What ever is behind us, it is not about what was, it is about what is going to happen. This company offers exceptional value to new investors and those with courage to invest in the weeks ahead. There are multiple reasons to look for huge investment in the future of rebar with the correct vanadium content to ensure new buildings are constructed safely around the worlds largest cities. It will no longer accept short cuts. So expect the vanadium market to grow in steel manufacturing in the years ahead.
We are getting used to clean air and that is key to our future. The use if renewable energy is going to grow very quickly in the years ahead and the demand for safe energy storage is going to be enormous within very high value profitable energy storage projects which over the next years will show how much revenue can be retrieved from fast cycling energy storage and frequency balancing which the vanadium redox flow battery can deliver. Bushveld Minerals are perfectly placed to make the most of both these markets and they have the largest high quality low cost opportunity to grow there mines and running processing plants to meet the global uptake.
They are making money today, but there revenue streams are going to be huge based on the world opening back up post Covid19. They are already producing record numbers and the plants are running. Multiple projects will come to fruition in the months ahead and Bushveld are ready.
I would be very happy to recommend anyone looking for a high potential return from capital and future dividend potential to look at this business. At today’s SP it has the potential to more than double very quickly. Within a few years the potential is way higher. This company remains a huge part of my investment portfolio and nothing will change this!
I may have other investments, but this is looking very strong in the time ahead. Let’s look ahead, no one can change the past!

- Bushveld Minerals are a "Profitable Vertically Integrated Vanadium Business!"
- With 3 mines – Vametco, Brits and Mokopane
- Nitrovan is a key product to strengthen steel from its Vametco Mine
- Vanadium is also used in a breaking electrolyte technology used in large energy storage batteries
- Bushveld has two processing plants Vametco 3200 mtV and Vanchem 1100 mtV - currently producing a combination of 4300 mtV, in last year with an average selling price of circa US$40 per kilo with an operating cost of circa US$19 – but operation costs are now much lower in 2020
- Bushveld has plans to more than double the capacity of these two plants to 8400 mtV pa within 3 years

Good afternoon all,
We have a very interesting and exciting journey ahead. The real starting point ahead is the completion of the transfer of the Affirmer technology to the LFD at Cytiva followed by FDA approval. An a similar time frame Adeptrix should be getting approval for the use at a very similar time depending of course on the influence of the two companies have in leveraging fast approvals.
The income generation streams from both of these based on numbers should be enormous.
The opportunities that additional partnerships will be announced is certain and there are two potentials I have highlighted previously.
The opportunity for a partnership and cash injection to start the development of yesterday’s RNS will potentially lift the business to a new level. If the Affimer technology can be used and approved for treatment this would be incredible. How long this will take is the question. Given that a vaccine is some time off, there is a very strong possibility that the Affimer treatment technology will be ready before a vaccine. By that time our testing products should be very strong products in the market.
Hopefully at the same time many of the other projects will be making the headlines.
Where does this put our valuation and would we be bought. Possibly!
The value will be strong. Within the next 6 months I really see a market cap over £2 billion. A buyout would if it came early in 2021 depending on what happens in the world and our development is likely to exceed £3 billion. These are conservative estimates but I am keeping my thoughts real.
When we get the RNS confirmation that Cytiva have the LFD with Avacta Affimer technology approved that is our big mark up time. The global sales of that product are potentially in the billions!
The upside potential for new and existing investors is very strong. If you want to make the most from this you should be looking to hold through to a buyout from one of the big pharmaceutical companies. Selling sooner will leave you likely to be kicking yourself. But everyone as a target and that is down to an individual.

This investment is a long term hold for me with BMN, Fundsmith, AXA Framlington Healthcare and ITM Power. A few others are in the box, but solid funds mixed with strong potentials. But all with solid management (including the funds).

On days like today when a company pulls a rabbit out the hat, and no investors saw it coming, especially when the potential with every other part of the business looks strong, it is easy to pluck a number and say I will be out when it reaches £xx.

The reality is very different as a company develops the target changes especially when profits are turned into dividends at numbers close to the share price you bought at at the beginning of the investment. Not many AIM companies do that but companies around the world do.
If this one manages to do it alone and not get bought, this will be one of them, if some of the pipeline of projects run into highly profitable solutions for global healthcare.
The Covid19 testing and treatment potentials are the elevators, but the drivers will be developments from this.
The upside over 2020 is likely to bring very strong growth from here. The next few weeks are going to be very interesting indeed.
If we get positive news from Cytiva next week, the world media will be all over this and that will lead to some incredible growth.

This morning RNS is possibly one of the most important to be released since the news that Covid19 was a pandemic. If these Affimers can be brought into the treatment process and implemented quickly the Virus could be controlled!
What a massive step forward this is!

The news for investors is the value of this business is now multiples of today's SP!

This story is not half told yet, but we are just starting chapter 2!

I fear we may be taken over by one of the Pharma giants for a significant sum!

The point that we know is that Avacta knows that the actual Affimer technology will detect the virus. This is defined. The application on individual products and having the validations all completed takes time, but the urgent requirement gives the ability to successfully speed up the process is in our favour. There are multiple others trying to get there test to the forefront. But simplicity, accuracy, simple production, easy logistics and of course low lost are what the world needs and this is the list of USP's which define the Avacta / Cytiva product. None of us who have read and researched this inside out have any doubt that this project remains the clear market disrupter when it is cleared for use and available in numbers. I have no idea myself when the RNS will come but, I do think we will have it at some point next week. When it does it will be huge news. You can be sure that the world is awaiting news of this kind of test piece and the demand will be massive. To be honest it is like we a switch and the day that we have this ready and the switch is pushed on and this will go mental.
That will be phase I. Then the news from Adeptrix will come and that will be Phase II. Or they may be the other way round but both will be huge for Avacta.
Phase III will be further partnership announcements give access to the product around the world.
For me, nothing has changed and until the next RNS comes in the SP will do what it wants. The upside from 95p, £1, £1.30 – where ever it is will be huge and that is all you need to focus on.
The world experts are not really expecting a vaccine any time soon and they don't seem to expect to see this just fading away so testing and low-cost testing will be key. The biggest worry the world will have is going to be 'copy fake tests'. Which would lead to total confusion! So a firm control on the distribution network is going to be key here.
This for me is still the biggest opportunity the world has to get on top of this pandemic!

Lazypunter - to try and answer your question in a simple way!

When looking for an investment a company needs to have:
- strong upside
- have a product or products which have the potential to be massive
- have a need around the globe right now
- have other products which will transform the world
- have a low cost to produce and strong profit margins
- be somewhat under the radar to the rest of the world

If you think Avacta ticks these boxes, then you would be on the same page as me.

I saw people posting about crazy valuations on this board of the potential here and I dismissed this as I see crazy numbers rolled out on posters on share chat boards many times. But, then I ran some numbers and checked the information with business contacts in the medical device manufacturing world ( I supply equipment to many of them) and my accountant. This company has it all and the upside numbers are exceptionally high. This is not just a covid19 stock, it is Biotech Company which is at the forefront of multiple revenue streams which are exceptionally high value, at a point in its life when it has been around a few years but has an exceptional opportunity to jump from being just another small biotech research company to delivering exceptional products at the optimum time and then using this as a springboard to the next level.
