This is a good question!
Here is what we know:
1. The partnership with Cytiva (formally GE Healthcare) will produce following certification potentially the perfect stick Covid19 test (lateral flow device) which will use saliva and give a result in minutes (less than 10). It is likely to become the worlds best selling test! Within weeks.
2. The partnership with Adeptrix will be an in hospital / medical centre test using the globally installed mass spectrometer testing using Avacta’s Affimer technology! Within weeks but sooner than Cytiva!
3. A massive new partnership announcement is imminent for a new therapeutics using Avacta’s Affimer technology which for anyone diagnosed will stop the virus and speed recovery. This treatment system will hopefully be developed and be made available within 6 months. Once in place it will neutralise the virus and give the world real hope.
4. Avacta are keen to open up new partnerships for LFD manufactures to get the tests out across the world.

Longer term and very exciting is the development of the Pre-CISION therapeutic for certain chemotherapy treatments creating a protein warhead to destroy cancer cells without causing side effects normally associated with chemotherapy. As this develops it will change the cause of cancer treatments for ever and may actual help give patients a longer life with a much better standard of health than we have known before.

Avacta have other partnerships which are developing treatments with stem cell research to help treat Crohn’s disease, MS and other disabilitating illnesses.

What does all this mean to the future for investors?
Firstly the capital value of your investments will rise based on these huge developments being implemented giving significant returns.
The company will turn into a substantial profit making business which should be able to return strong dividends to investors.
The company could be listed on the FTSE and joint listed on other major stock markets accelerating the company growth.
The company could also given its huge value potential be bought by a very large pharmaceutical company for a strong premium of its market capitalisation at that time.

So in summary a lot is ahead and if you watch the full company presentation shared earlier there is huge details to be unlocked.

The share price has potential to break £5 quickly, reach £10 within months, then move on to £20 early next year and £40 to £50 could be achieved within 3 years if, they are not bought out.

Now I cannot think right now of any investment which has quite so much potential. These are my thoughts and it is is key do research as much as you can and decide if this investment is able to deliver on its potential.

At_home this ‘Donald’ character has been banned from LSE every week for abuse to certain posters on the BMN board.
I bought my first shares in BMN at 5p and it did reach 48p as the price of vanadium rose. But it dropped, and since BMN has become oversold. It is a profit making business and is growing.

DigitalMockUp you are correct a LFD can be moulded in a 24 cavity tool at cycle times of around 10 seconds, 24 / 7 feeding directly into the clean room where the reactive agents can be added and then packed. Think 20 machines That is 29 million per week. One factory.
Not hard to ramp up production. There are thousands of medical device moulding sites around the world.

It will come down to:
Cost
Speed of result
Reduction of infrastructure
Test can be completed by non medically trained personel
This test will give results in less than 10 minutes!
Why waste money on anything that needs more resources or cost. It makes no sense.

PL75, one point, of course the exercise was for fun, but if numbers do get that high and to keep the world safe, that number of tests would easily be needed! If the numbers were that high then, the production costs would fall and so would profit. But it would be still highly advantageous to Avacta.
This test is likely to become the reference test for attendance and travel around the world unless the test results can be brought down to less than a minute by any company! This is for as long as the virus is active and needs people to self isolate. Once we have a reliable treatment in place and the risk is the same as common cold it will change.
But, the need for other types of diagnostics will continue and that market is the $9 billion mentioned by Avacta in there recent news article.
But I am sure this test will pass certification as the LFD works, the Affimer technology works, so the test will work. It is just certification that need to be completed.
The only question we have is when will that process be complete, within a few weeks. But the day it does will change the course of testing for the planet. A low cost accurate test with a result in minutes. That is the fact that for now we need to focus on... the rest is what will be.

Affimer technology is unique, it is new and it has massive potential!

The most important point is Avacta owns the patent and the trademark to Affimer Technology, so if we consider the number of opportunities available to them where they can be used for diagnostics and in therapeutics they have everything in their control. That is why they want partnerships! The opportunities to fast track growth when you have the ability to develop solutions in around 8 weeks to new requirements which can then be marketed those to various clients who then have to pay the company for their use becomes one hugely valuable asset.
The only way the competion has to take on Avacta is to have a different solution which doesn’t impede the patent and that will be very difficult!
In this case the intellectual property is with the scientists. Even buying the business, if you don’t have the people it is not worth the acquisition! So for shareholders including company directors who hold that is very good news.
If we end up with multiple giant pharmaceutical companies all partnering with Avacta the sky is the limit here. Once they have on each project the approvals and certification then the number of opportunities for infinite revenue streams is enormous.
If they get this right in a few years time they could (not saying they will) become one of the most important and valuable Biotech companies in the world!

Shareseeker10, I don’t have accurate foresight to where the actual number will be. But to be honest I think once the validation is announced and the first orders are confirmed, I cannot see our SP being less than £5 by the end of that day. The value to Avacta is so strong and it unlocks every other opportunity the company has. Why, because it is able to leverage developments of other projects from the income streams. This is not one, it is multiple. Bear in mind Adeptrix will come first and this will take a large chunk of the PCR market as it will be faster and lower cost and be able to be used everywhere around the planet. The second of course is the one we are all looking at the POC test with Cytiva and other partners. But, other partners will need to validate there own devices and all manufactures will have to be validated too. All medical device manufacturers have certifications and procedures but new devices and partnerships will have to be certified too.
It is the numbers and potential forward profit here which will jump the market cap. Around £2 billion for these two streams is very reasonable in my opinion.
But we are still price controlled by the market. It depends on sentiment and investment. But between now and the end of July, how many more news items and developments will we see?
Let’s assume we introduce a partnership with AZ what value does that bring based on therapeutics? Initially £500 million, but on release to market that turns into circa £2 billion. So then by some point in the last quarter of 2020 we could have a share price in the £15 to £20 range.
Folks this is a real possibility. Then add another year, add in other developments and most importantly the the preCISION chemotherapy treatment and you can double this again.
It may sound to good to be true, but that is the measure of the opportunity here in my opinion.
A long way to go and lots to come. But we are in a solid position.

I leave all matters on capital gains tax and income tax to my account. If you think you will be exceeding £10k in capital gains on a trading account outside an investment ISA or SIPP you should contact a specialist tax accountant. Not understanding the law and being ignorant is not acceptable in tax laws.
In the example given earlier if you had bought at £1 per share with £10k and we get to £10 per share. The capital gains is £90k. You are allowed £10k. If you sell the full holding , you are immediately liable to pay capital gains tax depending on your circumstances on the £80k.
But you should always consult a tax accountant. They know the best ways to help you. It may cost you £150 to £250, but it will save you that and save you from a fine or prison sentence.
Share chat boards are not the place to give tax advice. But always use your ISA allowance. This is that you can add £20,000 into the account per person per year. The amount gained once the £20k is invested is not liable for any tax either on the gain or when you withdraw in the future.

Firstly let us look at the most important point brought up by VanV.

The oppertunity to offer a therapeutic option created from the developments of the blocking of the virus with a partnership coming from a huge player like Astra Zenica, is going to be highly valuable. Firstly when the announcement is made, especiaclly if there is a cash injection to help develop this amazing new Affirmer therapeutic. It may take several months but if it stops the virus and is effectively a way of treating patients accurately, this is as important as a vacinne. Infact it may be more important! If you can treat a virus and get over it quickly with a simple treatment, it takes away the value of a vaccine which may not ever be found. What is the value of this to Avacta - most likely around £2 billion, maybe a lot higher! I always try to be conservative.
Now to the creation of two forms of diagnostic testing POC and BAMS. The combination of these two critical tests one for people everywhere and one for hospital labs, both of which are going to be approved and certified within weeks is massive. Why because the cost to impliment is so much lower than any competition and it will be simple and accurate.
Hence £10 by the end of July!

What a good day for Avacta shareholders, no news and huge increase. Is the rise finished not a chance this is a pre-look at the kind of rises we have ahead!
Once the test is approved by the FDA and other organisations and sales begin this test is likely to be a global bestseller! With distribution to governments, hospitals, businesses and people around the world. Numbers will be in the billions.
So if anyone wants to know where we are heading buy the end of July this will be over £10 per share is my genuine prediction. This is a conservative number!
I will comment further later. But I do expect an RNS tomorrow morning!
Anyone who follows my posts will know I am 100% genuine and I have not sold any shares this week at all and I hold in excess of 500k.
