To me this is really simple to assess:

Was the Company in a position of strength prior to suspension? If so, deal will be good.

Was the Company in a position of weakness prior to suspension? If so, deal will be very, very bad.

You decide which it is. I think it's fairly obvious which way this will go and general AIM history backs that up.

Those figures equate to £44Bn revenue for Telfer and Havieron alone. Nice.

Napthman1 - GGP confirmed to me by email this morning that it was a cross-listing, and the use of 'dual' was colloquial only. I posted that on here at 11.14am.

This was further confirmed publicly in the Proactive interview by Shaun.

Firstly, GGP have confirmed beyond all doubt that the plan is still for a CROSS listing, not a dual listing. There's plenty of posts below explaining the differences - worth checking out those. For a cross-listing, the LSE price should 'broadly benefit' from increases on ASX and vice-versa. But there's a lot more detail to this than I can explain.

Selangore - am interesting question. Now that Shaun is aware of the question caused by the colloquial usage in the RNS maybe he'll remember it and consider rewording when he next reviews the presentation. Personally, now I have it in writing from GGP directly, I am not too worried about that, being very comfortable with their response and much relieved too.

To add, I had a full response from a GGP employee via the info@ mailbox, who Shaun had asked to respond on his behalf.

I would like to applaud the prompt and detailed response from GGP which also (though not posted by me) contained detailed supporting informative to back up the answer.

Redirons - it's the opposite in my case. My SIPP provider, AJBell, supports ASX. My ISA provider, iWeb, doesn't seem to.

Either because you don't understand the potential material differences of the two listing types or you've assessed the difference as immaterial to you. For those to whom it is material it's not "negativity", it's unemotional analysis of our investment. As someone with a strong investment here I am very supportive of GGP but to be blinkered on this matter would be foolish indeed. One has to look after one's own interests at all times.

I've emailed GGP pointing out that this would be material information to the market and asking for clarification either by reply or at the investor call. No idea if that'll help but thought it was worth an email.

I agree - the court news is meaningless to us, but Whamboy's update is very surprising and interesting. I hope the lack of gazette listing is not solely due to process related reasons, like the court action is, but something more material.

NI doesn't 'go' to any department. It goes into the total pot so you can't tell where funding comes from.

That hasn't been the case for a long time. Your NI contributions go into the general pot for allocation across all departments.
