Thanks for your interesting reply, Ianbeej. I have zero idea how the processes around share movements between exchanges work. I wonder why, if shares can flow between them, why SD wouldn't just leave it to the market to sort it out. I.e.we list on ASX, Aussies want to buy, driving the AIM price up, people sell AIM shares, shares flow to ASX because there's demand there.

So I'm going to guess that either the share flow is too slow to cope with real-time dealing, or the time zone difference makes that impossible, and a pool/buffer of shares is needed. Total guesswork on my part.

Can anyone explain why SD is interested in increasing liquidity 'artificially'? As I see it, liquidity should only be created by buyers bidding the price up, so encouraging sellers. I may be missing the point. Any views?

B4zh, you've got to start thinking about this in more depth. For other consolidations that you've seen, tell me what you saw in terms of share issues and why those shares were issued. In particular, what was the financial position of those companies in the years during which billions of shares were issued? Contrast that with GGP. why do we have so many shares and what's our position?

If you think about it, you'll realise the huge difference between a company forced into consolidation because they'll need to place in the near future in order to survive, and a company welcoming it as a building block for growth.

Everyone's situation is different, but if you're a higher rate tax payer then it's pretty nuts to not consider a SIPP as a potential way to keep more of your money. Over 100k and you face losing between 40% to 60% of your gross pay due to the 60% tax trap. SIPPs are great for tax avoidance in that scenario.

With the headwinds and oil price decline there's no way back for UJO IMHO. Been here since 2019 and it's been an investing mistake of mine. I've sold up and put it all into a much higher quality gold/copper related opportunity. One where the fantastic board are already delivering masses of value for shareholders, and earning their salaries.

Hasiba, if you were posting in good faith then you would also have pointed out that dilution can also happen due to accretative acquisition - which means assets increase to counterbalance any new shares issued. In other words, it's not always a bad thing.

Why worry about one day? If we must obsess about it then I'd rather it be very red to be honest, as I have a bed and isa that is awaiting processing. If you could all sell, that'd be great, thanks.

I agree, one should always be wary. It's important not to share sensitive, personal data online. And leave the group if it turns out not to be what was expected.

The market never likes uncertainty. A high spodumene concentrate price would have blinded some to that and the SP would then be higher here, but the combination of a lowish price (though we'll still be profitable if we can get the processing rate up) and the typical risks that come from dealing in Africa are supressing the price in my opinion.

Personally, I think it'll all be fine in the long run.
