It's somewhat confused by a number of reasons -

- SEE has an auto grade chip, so if you want it on a chip, there's no choice (also as Beef said, it's the cheapest solution available) and it's quicker to market
- and yet again, if you want something along the lines of what SEE does, along the lines of functionality, again there is only one choice
- if all products were the same, the cheapest would win almost always. Obviously that's not happening which points to the fact the products are not the same and the cheapest software has issues, still

From a week ago and if nothing else just shows that Redeye are paid by SEYE. He should know by now winning one or two contracts does not mean it will win all the business. Especially in Europe, assuming SEYE can meet very basic NCAP, it might get cars like the Sharan or Up! but not much. Mitsubishi probably have a better chance of getting those as well.

If SEE tech was to be used in the Xbox and /or Kinnect, via Qualcomm Snapdragon, you would hope Qualcomm would pay for a licence which again you would hope it would lead to n RNS due to its financial significance. Along the lines of the auto license.

I doubt it would go down well if financially significant news was not reported and then A$20 million appears in the accounts from unreported licencing /royalties

It's quite easy to double auto revenue for at least the next few years with what SEE has at present. Quite probably from just one model and using Veoneers possibly conservative figure of 640,000 from one design win. Veoneer is going with the chip, so less up front, but more on production. Even allowing for a reduction for the license fee, that alone, with a bit thrown in from the CT6 if still going, would get SEE close to doubling this year's amount, and that is without any NRE from current /future (especially) SW only programs.
