SEE, like the majority of businesses, is facing temporary downturn in business I suspect for a number of reasons. When PM became CEO he made it clear he wasn't one for placements and one thing this RNS does is how seriously he takes the preservation of cash in the current circumstances. Some people have an 'opinion' that this is bad news but those same people were only 24 hours ago saying a placement was on the way and bemoaning the fact that measures hadn't taken place. Well, now they have and guess what, it's bad news.

TTN... post was on Sunday 15/03/20 and the SP was 2.625p. On 16/03/20 when the plan was to buy some on the cheap it went down to around 1.925p. So, whichever way you look at it, since he posted back in March, this dog of a share ain't done too badly!

As S2020 notes, we are probably only at the start of the decisions that matter ie in areas that safety DMS is the overriding prerequisite. At present, on the limited number of DWs, SEE, to borrow a phrase, is 'the world leading DMS provider' and following the resolution of the coming awards, is very likely to still be 'and for some time'.

And both Martin and Viktor know that.

There is not one type, or quality, of DMS, and it's possible SEYE are world leaders in one of them but at the moment, not in the other, and not likely to be anytime soon.

Smoke and mirrors as the saying goes.

The Precept does have eye tracking but not the DMS as we know it, the eye tracking is in use purely to identify where the driver is looking for infotainment purposes. Fairly basic.

It does state it's set up for future ADAS requirements but that is for another day.......

Let's be honest, nobody has a clue where we'll be in two months, let alone two years or more. I'm talking of the wider world in that.

Car ownership could go either way but it won't end and we also won't be driving about in robotaxis anytime soon.

Medium term from an auto stance, it could be good for SEE as there are indications that OEMs are veering towards L2+ and for that SEE is the stand out choice and regardless of Covid 19, the world does not stop turning.

However, SEE is more than just Auto. Although the RNS on 01/04/2020 was in relation to Auto, SEEs tech has a lot more applications to that and there must be literally 100's of potential customers who would like a licence. Concentrating just on the usual suspects and we may be happily surprised at the variety of licences entered into.

From Highway to Traffic Jam and it still doesn't work. When will SEYE reduce number of models won from 81 to 80? Or is it still won 81 and lost one?

Yes, press has been limited and when found not overly enthusiastic about driving a BMW down an autobahn or similar in a traffic jam under 38 mph. Was the plan initially to have Highway Assist?

But having 8 BMW models on the road begs the question, where are the Audi, Porsche and JLR models, some that were planned before all or some of the BMWs? Being the world leader (in?) I'm sure eventually theyll let the market know.

Whilst SEE waits for the F150, S6 and maybe a Chrysler to join the CT6 before the end of the year.

Interesting, although this is an existing program, probably the F150 so plenty of units there, even before one roles of the production line, regardless of any potential delays, someone, maybe Veoneer, is prepared to pay A$8.2 million for a licence, probably reducing unit cost but up front.

That is roughly 9.5% of the value of the mega SEYE, best ever, 4 OEM /24 models in production, if they do get to that stage orders /RNS.

And the F150 is pre mass market, although a big seller, so how big are mass market licences likely to be?

The question i have is how often on limited access motorways will a car be travelling at 37mph or less. There must be a lot of traffic jams on American motorways.
