Cyan2 - you’re relying upon the research of Smyth. Oh dear. Nuff said really. EWT will prove it out one way or the other. But remember when Xodus and Nutech produce their CPRs they have access to all the information from all the drilling conducted and seismic and core sampling to boot. Smythe is relying upon information from 1980’s and 1990’s possibly early 2000’s. Technology and the art of the possible has moved on since then. Unfortunately for Smythe he hasn’t. He supports the anti-frack anti-drill campaign against HH. At least now your cards are on the table. I now know to ignore what you have to say. Nothing personal, I’m sure that you’re a lovely person. Cyan2 - truth is you don’t know the facts of the case. HH-1 flowed a consistent dry oil rate of 1688 bopd stabilised flow for over 7.5 hours of testing with no discernible loss of pressure observed. Those are the facts. They’re in the various RNS issues at the time. What you’re writing is at best hypothetical conjecture based upon pseudo / science and guess work, and at worst is deliberately misleading fakery designed to skew the debate away from the facts. So unless you’re a qualified geophysicist with petrochemical experience and have full and unfettered access to all the information that Nutech and Xodus have in compiling there CPRs then I’ll take whatever you say with an extremely large pinch of salt. @renroc - I’m sorry for pointing this out but HH-1 flowed the highest ever recorded stabilised U.K. on shore dry oil rates. That is a fact. The Portland flow rate was restricted by the pump. There’s another fact. So there are plenty of reasons to get excited. No doubt others will warble in about depletion not being proven etc but I don’t care. Given the well was not optimised for flow (I.e. it was just off vertical, not horizontal) and there are more wells to be drilled, then I think that there is lot more to come. Obviously IMO. Cheers! @Krakenoil - 1688bopd stable dry oil flow a flash in the pan? Really? It’s not too late to invest, but be quick. Once the EWT starts to produce results, I’ve really no idea how high the SP will go. An announcement of Portland commerciality could send it stratospheric, and if not that then a successful HH-1z and HH-2 drill campaign certainly will. Cheers! Red

Because no-one believed that the oil was there until HHDL proved it. Now we’re lined up for EWT tonprove commerciality of the Portland and ultimately Kimmeridge layers. Then drill HH-1z, HH-2 and start production. Sooooooo exciting ;-) Red

@KarlovyVary - well, I read your post. You’re obviously unimpressed with UKOGs performance. Oh well, that’s a shame. Personally I am impressed, they’ve proved oil flow at B.B. and are on the cusp of proving Portland commerciality at HH and have multiple other drills lined up, all fully funded. Lots of Oiler E&P start ups go belly up. It all depends upon your expectations I suppose. I expect UKOG to raise more cash along the way to prove up the Weald. If you don’t and are expecting solid dividend return and linear (but underwhelming) capital growth then I suggest you’re in the wrong stock (in fact the wrong market - you shouldn’t be investing in AIM stocks at all). Go for something warm and comfortable like BP or Any other FTSE 100 stock, or a nice woolly cardigan. ;-) Red
