For me it starts to join dots-up with some of the more mysterious actions by Centamin. - The Q3 forward-leaking of production information for example, designed to trash the SP. - Pardey's sudden demise. - There's been some dirty-work afoot here. - IMO

This week is settlement Friday for Dec. Futures. - It'll be an interesting week for gold. - The contract writers will want to influence it down through the stops. - We'll see.

It'll be interesting to see how comms are handled covering the last qtr, Q4. - The new discipline for 2019 reporting was to maintain silence until the official quarterlies announcements. - However, in Q3, they broke with this through the unofficial method of leaking. - Having maintained guidance toward lower-end of forecast (490k), unless they issue an official profit warning, linked to a shortfall in output, we must assume they are not misleading us all again. - The question is, do you trust them? - Given their track-record, it's a big question and one that you rightly raise.

Yes, serious works being undertaken well beyond the confines of 3km Sukari and has been for some time. - They need to do something with their available funds other than just dispense with it through dividend payments. Financially, Centamin are in an enviable position and the management of this is what we are all waiting for.

POG highly geared (96%) and paid $58m in interest last year. So you are right to highlight the debt-free status of Centamin when comparing.

The 'official hint' I believe was 92k. - The actual 98k - I think, psychologically, that extra 6k might have made the difference on the day. - Better than expected.

I predicted that 'bounce' would not be the appropriate verb to describe the reaction to Q3 official announcement. - How wrong can you be? - I'll keep quiet from now on I think. - :-)

Difficult to work this one out. For me it is anyway. - 18% below Q2, when it should have been 18% above, in order to keep on track for lower-end forecast and the SP reacts in a very positive way when it's made official. - Something out of synch somewhere. OK, we've already had a bloody-nose from the 'official hints', but it's never stopped us getting further good-hidings in the past. So, what's changed this time? - I couldn't understand the reason behind the hints/leaks and I'm at a loss to understand the events of the last two days. - There's something not fitting into place, perhaps we'll learn why as the days and weeks unfold.

158k oz needed in Q4 to meet lower-end of forecast. - No chance IMO. - However, a good run at it, say 140k-150k might just save our bacon.
