I hope you don't mind, out of curiosity I visited this site and to my surprise discovered that many of the 'OLD' Centamin posters have kept things going. - I'm glad that you all did and it's good to see many of the names still contributing to the discussion/debate. - So far, it's looking like a good decision in accepting the Anglo offer. - It's good to see the smiles all around. - All the best to everyone.

Unless I've missed something, I'm assuming that Anglo's takeover of Centamin includes the African assets. - If so, it'll be interesting to see what their plans are in terms of development here.

Yes of course Sotolo - Many, including myself, are staying with our Gold-mining investments via Anglo, so, no doubt, our paths will cross again. - There's a dearth of good mining stocks listed in London, so I'm hoping that Anglo will list here. - I think there will be every incentive for them to do so. - Better for them than TSX I'm thinking. - We'll see.

I was puzzled for a while, with the exception of US and UK, almost every central-bank in the world was/has been/is, buying gold; why where they not? - Not sure about UK, but as far as the FED is concerned, they don't really have to. - They say that gold can't be printed, but in America it can be. - A few key-strokes , appropriate to needs, and they can print as many dollars as they like, any time that they like, to use them to purchase as much gold as they like. - Voila -

That's how they can print it. - Others of course can print money into existence, but. for them, there will be consequences. - Not so much so for the US dollar though. - For now anyway. - Although they have gotten away with it for at least fifty-years so far. - I must say, I'm still puzzled as to the UK's position/strategy.

If Anglo was listed on the LSE it would be a popular investment amongst UK investors. - I have a feeling that this is what will happen, a London listing. - WTS. - In addition of course, Anglo is currently in recovery mode itself. - Recovering from the 2023 set-back numbers. - The numbers forecast for 2024 are big-number recoveries, in itself a good reason to have Anglo in the cross-hairs.. - Adding the Centamin T/O to this prospect makes for a good reason to stay with the Anglo story. - IMO

They are fair points MrBond, - Q3 results were just about put to bed when the bid came in. - The board would know the state of play. - They were very quick, very very quick in making their decision. - Too quick for comfort I think. - The Nomad also has a responsibility in overseeing shareholder's interests. - Was the Nomad not recently replaced/changed? Not sure. - Major-shareholders response will be interesting. - Our vote won't count for anything. -Theirs will decide.

With Anglo's registered office in England and with the takeover of CEY, I feel there's a remote possibility that they might list on the LSE.- Let's see. - There is one thing for sure, they ain't a one-trick-pony and they appear to be run properly..

If Doropo ultimately does produce, they'll have picked this package up for a song. - It's all clever stuff isn't it? IMO.

If Cowichans hunch is right and the $100m dispute does end up in court-action for settlement, then, potentially, it will cast a shadow over Centamin's prospects going forward. Similar to the previous court-case perhaps? - Deja vu repeating? - Let's hope not.
