Am I wrong in thinking that it's unusual to declare the dividend at this juncture? - It's usually revealed in full-year results.
I wonder why they've done it? - I admit I'm paranoid about Centamin and their motives.- There's always a reason.

Investors respopnse to an increased guidance for 2020 will very much be influenced by Q1 forecast. - We don't want a re-run of last year. - If part of the reason for a record -breaking Q4 was an increase in grades, then we should see this benefit carried-over into Q1. - I'm expecting a fall-off in production, providing it isn't off a cliff.

If Mr Sawiris is disappointed with the end result, what a coincidence it would be if the court-case suddenly came back into focus. - Watch this space.

Prelims announced after Endeavour news would have been more helpful in absorbing the effect.

Yes, a good way of putting it - 'Just dodged a bullet' - Hopefully, now, in one piece, they can hit the ground running.

Twas our SP that made us vulnerable I feel, allied to a degree of apathy. - Let's hope that lessons learned lead to improvements on both counts. - Maybe now we'll get sight of BF results. Much depends now on 2020 forecast, especially, in the short term, Q1 forecast.
A good follow through in momentum on the back of Q4 would be most welcome.

It looks as though EDV are taking it right to the wire. - I had half expected a 4:30 RNS

Looking at the intrigue behind it all. The way the dots appear to be joining-up. The lengths END have gone to in preparing their strategy. - The way that things have fallen into place with Centamin in order to accomodate. - I'll be surprised if this isn't a done deal. - We'll soon know.

It was important that they at least retained the status qou on their own SP and equally as important that Centamin's SP had to be kept down . This was needed in order to make the offer that allowed them to maintain control. If our SP hadn't been manipulated as well as their own (through hedging) it wouldbn't have been possible.

The fact that Endeavour are playing in the derivatives market is in itself a questionable pursuit. - Investors in Endeavour must be wondering what they have invested in. - Also, if my understanding is correct, they have entered into both 'Put' and 'Call' positions, meaning they cannot win and they cannot lose, other than the contract charges. - What strategy is in play here? - In the abscence of specifics, my comments could of course be total nonsense.

I think this might be a desperate throw of the dice by Endeavour. - If the merger talks fail/break-down, Endeavour could be in serious trouble. - Their reluctance to allow close scrutiny is very suspicious. - Somehow, by fair means or foul, they have been able to maintain the value of their own SP, whilst at the same time, strange events have conspired to collapse Cey SP, the perfect storm if you like. What a coincidence, if you believe in coincidence. - If we see off Endeavour, a different scenery could well come into view and it'll be interesting to see how their reported numbers really stack-up. It'll be interesting to see whether the unprecedented rainfall did affect their operations or not. - IMO

They would need to maintain production In order to sustain their SP.- They needed their SP maintaining and the CEY SP to fall to accomodate their cunning-plan. - It seems they pulled it off.

It was our SP that made us a target. - If we had been more favourably rated carrying an sp of say 140-150, Endeavour couldn't have made an offer allowing them to maintain control. - The numbers wouldn't work. - The question is, were we deliberately held-back in 2019 to make this possible? - Given the strange behaviour of Pardey, with his reversals of forecast and hintings that collapsed the SP. it's not unreasonable to believe that this might have been the case. Throw in the "Egypt syndrome" and we are where we are. - Are we the victims of treachery? - Next Tuesday may shed light on this question.
