I agree with your point about markets and ambition. - The single-mine status has held us back I feel and also exposes us to set-back. All our eggs in one basket as it were, makes for vulnerability. - Actually, we haven't even got a single-mine, we've only got a half of one. - We are a half-mine operator.

It's the outlook going forward that concerns me more than anything. - As per Razors information, we could be finding out this week. - Could be that insiders know and are adjusting ahead of announcement. - That's pure speculation of course. - It doesn't matter, because once again, it's the old story, no matter what good occurs in the market, any initial advantage is quickly erased. - It seems destined always to be the case.

I wonder how much better the new proposals are compared to 50/50. - I've not gotten my head around them yet, but at first glance there appears to be some pretty hefty royalties cum taxes to pay. - I wonder how much diference there is between the two. - How ironic if it works out that 50/50 is as good as what's proposed or even better. Maybe Slotolo can enlighten us with his penchant for calculation.

One thing that worries me about the silence is that there is, once again, an agenda in play. - Something in the background that we are not to know about. - Underhand, injurious to current shareholders, beneficial for themselves. -

I'm not advocaating they show their hand by announcing what they will bid for. - I'm saying it's odd that they have not announced an intention to bid in the new licence-rounds. - Why would it hurt to make this intention known? - Others are making statements about their intentions. - For a start, it would give we shareholders a fillip and would help the SP as well I feel. - It's only intentions we're talking about, not detailed plans. - Everybody and their uncle are expecting Centamin to bid. It'll be more of a surprise if they don't. So, just confirm that subject to satisfactory T&C's, it is their intention to bid.

Yes, thank you, I did read your post covering the reply re Annual results, but that was a different topic from the upcoming bidding-round. - Unless you are suggesting the same reasoning would apply to the non-issuance of a statement of intent to engage in the bidding. - I can understand one, the delay in Annuals, but not the other, or am I missing something blatantly obvious? - Cheers.

It is indeed odd that Centamin remains silent about it's intentions regarding the upcoming bidding-round in Egypt. - Very odd!!!

A simple statement of intent is all that is required to give both shareholders and possibly the SP a boost.

Actually, I have a feeling it will be this coming Friday March 6th - The calendar has not calculated the leap-year. - Just a theory.

If my 'Sharescope calendar' is correct, Annuals will be announced 7th March, which is next Saturday, I've never known a Saturday announcement, never mind, that's what it says. So, if they are to issue a Q! forecast, it sould be contained within the annual report come Saturday. - So, tin-hats to the ready boys and girls.

Gold has fallen because the door marked 'Gold' has been firmly shut, cutting off an exit to safety. - In theory, Gold should have risen sharply and if it had, or even maintained it's level, there was the potential for a stampede out of equities and into Gold.
That had to be stopped at all costs. - And wouldn't you know it! - They managed to achieve it. - Who would have guessed? - IMO

Current conditions and turmoil could well expose the 'Naked swimmers'. - If a domino effect is triggered and some of those dominos are 'Big names', who knows where it might take us. - It could become uncontrollable.

In the face of the stampede, relatively, Centamin is holding on quite well. - Once the dust starts to settle, it could well be viewed as an oasis, a place to journey toward.
