Bought another batch this morning on the drop anyway.
Powder left for one more drop. Assuming WG don't drop too far between now and then.

I'm convinced we were pushed down there so some could profit on the news.
News probably broke on this contract at start of March. Volume ticked up at that point. About 60million shares traded between then and the actual news release. Now taking their loot out.

Someone email them then and check if this is post award.
If not, it is the lack of awards over past few years (which many on here were moaning about) causing the short term revenue drop. Anything won now (or last week) will have little benefit in 2023. So...

To be fair. Short term they may have a valid point. The big rewards from the recent win are a little way down the line.
Revenue may drop before SKYROCKETING!
Accounts won't be great.
So depends. Will we see short term drops or will enough see the long term goal and buy in, limiting the scale of the drop?

Hopefully the later.

Last rating in 2019 went well for them!

I have, do and will hold both.
Have just been in heavier in WG of late and now approaching a 50/50 split. Might go 60/40 in favour of PFC.

I actually hope that WG bid doesn't go through. I value them well above current price and next couple of years could be equally transformative for them. Big long list of tenders over there too.

But knowing my luck, they will announce a second bidder or an increased offer price this afternoon!

Bit by bit I have been shifting more across from WG while price there is high.
More upside here at the moment, especially with ISA date looming. I doubt WG will see much upside given the 240 offer providing a false ceiling.

He isn't an idiot. Or new to shares I suspect. He may even have knew they were going to raise the cash and came on playing an idiot while insider trading on his knowledge.

He's back but suspect this time he is long. Could be wrong. But that's my guess. Or it is snapper or Quetta lol

Ha! Nope. But, for those who weren't around when it happened. He did (in a similar tongue in cheek style) state a share issue was coming after the SFO resolution...and it did. Albeit I am not in a cardboard box or jumping out of windows have made money out of PFC despite being diluted a billion to 1 or whatever he claimed it would be.

I doubt he is right this time. But then I was the one shouting him down and throwing liquidity numbers at him last time. So take from that what you will.

I'm holding but I do have some points where I plan to hedge just in case. That was before our chum rearrived and his comments haven't influenced me.

But that said....I was just ****ing by the door is one of my all time favourite lines from a sitcom and I was partial to that back in the day.

They have experience here. And that means a lot in the EPC world. Knowing the costs, where delays happen, having prebaked design and specs to hand. It all helps you estimate and do a good job, reduces cost. Hopefully they are using modern tech and tools to capture all this as it is gold going forward.

Scotwind +INTOG add 30GW of offshore wind to Scottish waters, some of it, plugging into existing oil and gas infrastrcture. That's a lot of work over coming 10-20 years. 30-40 offshore substations at least. The platform or onshire infrastructure. Then all the O&M where Petrofac are also playing.

This and the potential of hydrogen and other synthetic fuels is why I saw such good things here in the first place.

Can we please now change that terrible bloody name and logo though? Is it really helping the share price in todays Petrofearful world?

Was going to check anyway. Mainly to see if 1, it is possible and 2, at what price? The price I paid or more likely the ticker price....so little difference between the two except the fees to pay.

Can you nit buy niw and transfer Monday? I was hoping to do that with the ones I bought this morning and was going to check over weekend. Assume you can and if not, I'll try to make a penny or two selling from my trading account and buying again in my ISA one.

Could get interesting if many do and shorters are closing out. A perfect storm perhaps? My fingers and toes will be crossed all weekend with this in mind :) GLA. Hope we get the rest in the black soon!

And even if they needed working capital, they now have a juicy contract against which it can be sought. Much less chance they would have to come to us shareholders again.
Hopefully anyway! They may even have sorted that already to make sure the cost of capital was in line with their requirements for cashflow and margin.

Chucked some Hammerson's that I bought at start of week and got some more again this morning. Only risk here is something funny in results causing a wobble. But that contract should signal a bottom I hope and I will try to buy any dip....timing might work well if the WG deal goes through....one can hope!

This experience builds on the last few years and places the UK operation very well for all Scotwind and other auK offshore wind projects over due over coming decades.

I'll confess. I can't say I have a particular fondness for Petrofac which is why I sypathise with Snapper and have negative comments at times. They have screwed a lot up and burned a lot of cash! If they ever did collapse, a bit of me would chuckle as some of the guys I know in there, could use a shake. But I also met some great guys that I know would be really badly hit. Especially some of the old boys who are probably retired and would see what remained of their nest egg vanish. To think those guys were buying at £10+ is heart breqking. Some of their bosses, well....
