Expecting a bit of a drop24 Mar 2025 08:04
I can see why someone said old news. They don’t actually say the offer, DD etc was this time. As I read it, I wondered if that was in relation to earlier approach. A bit vague.
Perhaps the audit was for Sidara due to a desire by them to pay less for a (potentially) cheap current valuation. And discussions continued?
It all stinks if you ask me. London based FT leaking bad news about a London based CFO. Bad stories to drag a price down. Shorts who seem to have an inside track. Almost like a coordinated attack to allow someone to buy cheap.
My total guess is that audit will result in change to intangibles which wouldn’t effect cash flows. Which should be relatively stable going forward with most work now reimbursible and avoiding the risky lump sums, where the lowest bidder gets the work often as a result of underestimation.
Looking at fundamentals, should be able to cope with a bit of a write down on intangibles but I am no expert. Just shooting from the hip and airing my guesses to n the hope someone will enlighten us all and point out where I got it wrong lol
