Didn't we get 16x EBITDA for built environment? That was sold debt free.
I couldn't find an estimate of total liabilities at yeqr end, only net debt.
Not sure where a similar multiplier puts you but I think it is net debt following asset sale money coming in.

Will my second order go through after the US opens? Or is the system too globalised and automated for that to matter?

I've done the same this morning and sold 30% or so. I'm hovering over a second sell as there is a chance of them (rightly IMHO) saying no to 237 and it could drop a bit again in the short term. But i firmly believe it would recover again and would be looking to buy back in on that event as it is worth more as we've seen.

From the tone it sounds to me like they want a buyer and hopefully major shareholders value this and aren't looking for a quick out....patience please.

Asset managers won't want to pay full whack. They need to see a profit.
But this lowball offer, at a low point in this shares history is too low. It was trading far too low before the offer as it was. Opportunism as they know this is near or at bottom and a few quarters of good results will have this 300+ in no time.

You're biggest issue is that it is not carbon neutral and still puts carbon from the ground into our atmosphere. And there are other similar optimistic startups with a range of techniques and equally low claims of future costs. Part of my day job is unpicking these to see where the lies, mistakes or omissions are..and to some extent, point my clients towards the best options for them. So you will be added to my watch list, but I will not be investing. I will probably read a bit more and see how you stack up. Doing that will take time though and is not for this board...so I think no more replies from me here and if I think you merit it, I may ask for more of your assumptioms etc on the relevant page.

What is the production cost of your synfuels? List them with current price point and TRL level please.

You must remember also that the SFO saga, combined with COVID, some lump sum **** ups and an oil downturn have ruined the balance sheet here over past few years.

The balance sheet and backlog are chalk and cheese I'm afraid.

Petrofac need to increase size of backlog, start to turn a profit and start paying back(not increasing) their debt.
Worth looking back at Snappers point. They are burning through backlog at a decent rate. My gut says they are not even winning enough to replace the stuff they are completing, let alone increase the backlog. The bond market seems to think similar and the 60p per £1 current price shows most don't think they won't be able to service their debts going forward.

Only with the improved financials and backlog, are they likely to find someone willing IMHO.

Results will be interesting and could provide some insight as to whether the recovery has even started. If it's going the other way....

A speculative punt at best. I work closely with hydrogen sector and this is a roll of the dice at this point. Not only do we not know the scale of the hydrogen market, we certainly can't be confident this will be the answer to its production. What is the expected cost per kg?
And where does that 2billion pipeline come from?

If Wood are involved. Presumably my windfall will come from holding their shares and I don't need to seperately take a punt on this high risk type of endevour.

I don't think it matters whether there is an offer or not.
What the existing offer shows is that ( as always) the markets have failed to find the value of this company and it is worth a lot more than the ticker price.

Looks like Morgan Stanley agree having scooped up a further 400k according to RNS.

I am sceptical of that also. It'd be totally obvious and leave them open to claims of market manipulation.
I honestly think they just spotted the bargain that is Wood.
Or as I said before, they are in cahoots with someone. I suggested Blackrock as they had all but closed a long standing short and proba ly wanted the price back where it should be. Handy they kept a few to close out after the news so it doesn't look too dodgy.

I don't think Apollo will offer more, but time will tell.
If they do and board accept, it'll be a tidy profit for me. But they'd have bagged a bargain in my opinion and many LTHs will not be happy given where this could be in a couple of years.
