ade2a, I sympatise with your opinion whuch is valid. But, this fund can be volitile, as a long term holder, it is worth noting that in Febuary 2016, the fund price dropped to 252p but, by November 2018 it had risen to 388p. Not a guarantee but this is the nature of the beast.

There are some very impressive broker ratings for L&G and Aviva but if you look back a year, none of their predictions ever came to fruition. Maybe they have their own agenda?

Well, anyone watching today's news will realise they are on shakey ground with Bytedance which is their largest private holding. Unbelievable.

My guess is that after the next Federal Reserve interest rate decision (today ), it will all start to bottom out.

The events of today just go to show that it is better to sell on strength and buy on weakness. All of this long term investing is for the birds. When these financial advisors tell you that you need to be in for the long haul, that is for their benefit and not for yours.

Well, it looks like the ramping has started. It will be interesting to see where we are on Wednesday.

I held this share as a long term hold and was disappointed. I have now fared much better since adopting a sell on strength and buy on weakness strategy.

As for the dividend, more often than not, the share price will often drop more than the vaulue of the dividend on the ex-dividend date whcih also creates a buying opportunity.
