Forget the £1.28 finish. I get the impression that with this company that unless swift and proper action is taken, it could become a real penny stock. Let's hope the recent changes prove me wrong.

Pooks, you are probably correct. I see Shore Capital have a 'House Stock' recommendation on this comapny which means all of their brokers have been instructed to promote it. For whatever reason we can only guess.

According to Section 2, Accounting policies (page 22), of the 2022 full year results, it states that 'Group principal accounting policies under IFRS have been consistently applied to all the years presented.'

More than likely, we are in a summer lull. I think by the autumn, when inflation is hopefully showing signs of declining, we will see a recovery. Meanwhile, the good news is that we have another ex dividend date on the 24th August.

And M&G pay 10.36%.

And after the losses they incurred in the modular building firm they invested in, they now have this to contend with. All could be a strain on dividends.

While I would never regard IUKD as an investment for growth, if you can pick off the highs and lows instead of investing passively, it can be quite luctrative. Like the old addage, 'any investment can be a good investment, depending when you buy and when you sell.'

Good article. It is interesting the author says that many fund managers are good at picking investments, even winners, but are not so good at knowing when to to sell them. I think many of us can relate to that.

My usually boring Legal and General shares are more exciting at the moment and probably doing better.

The technicals show the first resistance point at just less than 296. If we can break through that we should get past 700.

And Cathie Wood's ARKK sold off Nvidia in January citing the valuation being too high. Just goes to show.

Interesting how USA tracks SMT or vice versa. Coincidence?

Looking at the rest of the FTSE this morning, SMT may be the bright spot.

If it would just get back to the estimated NAV I would be happy.
