Anyone know what is causing this? Leaked information or just a relief after being supressed?

Ex dividend date today without too much of a pullback. Payment on 29th Decemeber. Let us hope we can move up from here.

Skier1, yes, that's about it in a nutshell. The share price is fairly close to the estimated NAV (about 3%). In fact it is at a level that funds such as Scottish Mortgage could only dream of. So, does this mean it is purely down to bad stock picking?

In the report, they mention one of the reasons for the poor results was the low combined weighting in India. The Indian 'Nifty 50' has risen almost 94% in the past 5 years so there was a missed opportunity there. As this occurred over 5 years, it was not difficult to figure out what was happening. Considering they regard themslves as professionals, it looks like they have been asleep at the switch. At least all of this puts to bed the past rumours of dividend washing, etc. and it was just plain, old-fashioned bad management.

What we need now is some news, hopefully positive. Otherwise, I suspect we will be at these levels for a while.

There were also some large trading volumes last week. Anyone know if these were mostly buys or sells?

What makes you think we may get our money back? If the price is down when there is a managed wind-down, many could be facing heavy losses on their purchase price.

These funds are starting to become more risky as opposed to individual shares.

A positive reaction when the markets opened this morning to the changes so let us hope we have seen the worst. At least no major sell-offs.

Well, yes, at least they have come clean, better late than never. But, I reckon the acid test is 200.00, and if it falls below that then I will be jumping ship.

For what it is worth, the average analyst 12 month price target is 126 which sounds about right and not one of their usual pie-in-the-sky predictions. It should rise as interest rates fall back.

The next ex-dividend date is 23 November, 2023 with a dividend of 4.61 pence and payable 05 January, 2024.

This share reached 127 on Tuesday and Wednesday, So, as PottyTime says, it is more than likely someone (or some organisation) just crystilising their gains.

For what its worth, BritishBulls indicates that JLEN is at a turnaround point and for once, I can believe this. Anyone buying in at this point should be well rewarded. Just my opinion of course but I have sold all of my SMT shares and piled into this one.

If I run a comparison chart, it is clear to see that HFEL is tracking the Hang Seng Index downwards. So, we are clearly not alone in this and all we can do is wait for the region cycles back to recovery rather than blame the way the fund is managed.

A slight increase on Friday. Bottoming out?

Even so, Barclays is down 21% on the year and NatWest 31%.
