Unlike Immunobody and Moditope vaccines which activate naive T Cells via Antigen Presenting Cells, MAB2811 is aimed at existing TSCMs.

I think the idea is that TSCMs are the top level of memory TCells.
They will differentiate into other types of memory TCells.

So, if you have a mechanism for expanding the population of the TSCMs then you are in effect boosting the populations of all the other types of memory TCells including those that become effector cells when the antigen re-appears.

But the article also says that TSCMs could be a powerful force in their own right.

So MAB2811 looks like it applies a double whammy by increasing the population of TSCMs and by doing this also increasing the populations of the other types of memory T Cells.

This also is thought provoking from the Paris poster:
"At day 35, under light microscope, cells stimulated with anti-CD3 mAb and unstimulated cells
were all dead except cells stimulated with 2811 mAb."

Probably very early days in whatever Lindy has got planned, but to me it looks like a very powerful mAB.

It certainly seems to be cutting edge.
As I understand it, TSCMs are at the top of the T Cell food chain. The trouble is that they only exist in small quantities. Lindy et al have found a mAB that Induces TSCM proliferation and differentiation.
It's another Lindy special IMO but quite where it will lead is still to be revealed.

It sounds that TSCMs could be super heroes in the T Cell world, maybe on a par with cytotoxic CD4+ TCells. Who knows?
It's handy to have a method to make more of them :-)

Another point is that the dilution vs IP should be applied retrospectively not at the time of the cash raise.
We simply have no idea what will happen in the next two and a half years the money has bought us.
The naysayers would say nothing since Scancell is a lifestyle company.

The thing is that we add water in chunks when the bank account is thirsty whereas the orange juice is added more frequently and is harder to measure.
Another point is that last night's orange juice was provided by the Bermuda news service. This suggests that there may be a reservoir of hidden orange juice :-)

But are we adding orange juice faster than we are adding water should be the debate.

It perhaps also shows that FG88 mAB reliably finds its way to the target.

Actually the missing 3.2 billion is the basis of an interesting debate. How has the science progressed over the last 4 years and how does this relate to the value of Scancell as a whole.
It's not an easy question to answer. Take Immunobody for instance. Four years ago the trial was showing excellent results. Now we have added a 2nd trial with Keytruda and we are patiently awaiting data for a trial that is currently stalled. We are also patiently awaiting the Scib2 trial to start. Then we are also now told that immunobody is also being used for a covid19 vaccine.
So it comes down to waiting for data. So the best we can say is that if the data is good then immunobody is worth a helleva lot more than 4 years ago. Then there are shades of good. Will the 2 combination trials produce data beyond Lindy's expectations and how far beyond.
For all 3 we await that all important data. We know that big pharma were highly sceptical about cancer vaccines in the past but will Lindy emphatically prove that they were wrong?
Will she also prove that immunobody is not just a cancer vaccine platform but also have an important place in viral infections?

You can have a similar debate for Scancell's other platforms.

IMO, the interest of big pharma will increase with positive data.

Moditope
We know there has always been interest and this may increase as the modi1 trial gets nearer.
Then we also know that we have a TCR collaboration with Biontech and we don't quite know at what stage this is at.

Avidity/TaGs
We are told
"Advanced commercial discussions are currently underway with a global biotech with initial commercial collaboration potentially to be in the form of granting a partner an option to a future licence."

Before the Covidity announcement we had multiple shots on goal, now we have one more.
I am disappointed that so far the government have not given Scancell any funding but there may be reasons for this. It may be that a certain milestone in the research needs to be confirmed.
Sit tight, research the science, and await developments.

We have no evidence that pharma have increased their interest in Scancell's Immunobody and Moditope platforms recently.
Any extra interest is behind closed doors.
