You know exactly what I mean, and so do many others on here.

I bet there are a few that are spitting feathers they can't use the 'placing ahoy' line now there's 50 odd million in the bank, but a bit of chartist mumbo jumbo is always worth a go as a last resort.

Compliments of the season to all - a very strange year and I'm sure we would all like it to have been very different to how it turned out, but the only certainties in life are death and taxes as they say, everything else is an adventure. Here's hoping 2021 brings an improvements in everyone's fortunes, both figuratively and financially.

We also have the advantage that the Scib1 data and progress feed directly into the construction of civility, presumably making it a much more promising candidate than something started from absolute basics. There is an awful lot of proven successful science built on Scib1.

I know of two instances locally to me where inoculation sessions have been cancelled as the batch has been found to have gone out of temperature parameters. If this is happening in England, what rate of wastage will there be in warmer climes with poorer infrastructure? Ambient temperature or normal chilled storage is a massive bonus for any of these new vaccines.

I notice sclp now has 679 twitter followers - not massive, but over 3 times what there was not too long ago. Interesting as a barometer of conspicuity at the very least.

That's the big unknown - who else is at what stage with gen2, how good are the current jabs with the mutation, and many other factors lie in the big dark space between success and failure? Fair comment. But I am very encouraged by the timing of yesterday's rns. It usually seems that an announcement of some sort comes out, and about 3 weeks later scancell announce something that makes you think 'it's good, but what a pity they didn't announce this a month ago.'
They never had aspirations to join the autumn winter roll-out, but always had sights set on gen2. They also foresaw a need for it, otherwise they wouldn't have gone off at a tangent towards covid at the expense of cancer research. My guess is that LD and Co know even more than the most astute board poster. Loads more. They've attracted several million of public money already so someone is impressed, and after all even the big hitters who were first out of the traps in the spring have ended up with a market so large that they will struggle to fill it in any sort of a hurry.

For many reasons I hope Scancell's Covidity is successful, and the sooner the better - general opinion seems to be that way inclined here too, but consider this - without detracting from the terrible effects of Covid on the world, it is for Scancell a 'Brucie Bonus.' This is a relative sideshow to the fundamental work on cancer immunotherapy, with the added pluses that Covidity is based on the already proven Scib platform, and also incorporates the Avidimab science. (Avidimab being another serendipitous add-on)

I wonder whether more government funding will be forthcoming or if it will give more freedom to finance it internally?
