I don't think your aggressive reaction is entirely justified - as you correctly said, such information is freely available so I wondered if you had it at your fingertips you could just post it up instead of going off on one at me for asking. i think the overall shareholding of Vulpes is actually very relevant - after all, if a few million shares was 10, 20 or more percent of the total I suspect you might have referred to it in percentage terms as much as numerical ones.

It is freely available, just thought you might have the figures to hand. Anyway, I checked - as of a couple of months ago Vulpes' holding was 117,829,029 shares which was 14.45% of the company. Just helps me to put the sells and buys back into perspective.

I wonder what the reaction would have been if 12 months ago it had been suggested that an American specialist fund could be putting 30 million or more into the company? I imagine that would have been dismissed quite abruptly. Life is full of surprises.

Nobody owns more than 30 percent, otherwise we would obviously have had a formal takeover offer. I'm sure the typing of '40 percent' was entirely accidental.
