To me, the first Genmab deal was because they saw potential, the second is way more significant as it shows confidence and a desire to have more of the same, and the upfront million dollar 'reservation' payment indicates a wish to have first dibs which you wouldn't bother with if you weren't worried about another party sneaking in and bagging it ahead of you.

Another firm indication of rising confidence is the absence of so many previously prolific posters when there were returns to be had on spreading fear and increasing volatility.

Even worse are Valirx - on one of their several consolidations they claimed that being at 36p (as I recall) they would attract the attention of institutions who would then be more prepared to invest than when their share price was decimal points of a penny. Oddly, no institution went near them and still hasn't. Consolidation is not to be desired in almost all circumstances imo.

I'm not fussed what the sp does day to day on results like this - the market is so odd and fickle, which is how the fear and greed merchants make their swing percentages. You only have to look at who we haven't heard from lately to understand that there is a strong and undeniable undercurrent of optimism in where this is going. So if you extrapolate today's announcements (and add in what someone correctly said earlier about Scancell having so many things going on) then the next few months/years look incredibly good. A lot of the impatience here is from old people hoping for a sudden and massive uplift before the grim reaper knocks, but sadly life isn't like that. I feel that Scancell is more a slowly rolling snowball gathering mass and momentum in its own time towards an impressive conclusion, and the cheering (or booing) bystanders will have no influence on its progress, just reduced to watching with increasing awe.

I'm amused by Ruck's sudden and vigorous support for Motley Fool's article, when MF is long known to have (shall we say) interlinking with self serving areas of AIM trading machinations. If you watch long enough, the behaviour becomes incredibly transparent.
