RE: Reasons to Sell3 Jun 2020 10:06
I have to take my hats off to you long term AIM investors. I have been on AIM for three months, not even an investor really but in lock down it provided a distraction. I have an extremely small pot (less than £5k across three of my holdings). I have panic sold, panic re-bought and everything inbetween over three months and although I am up about 10% had I had mental fortitude I could have been up by 30 - 40%. Not life changing, something that I wanted as a distraction as working at home and sat in front of my laptop all day is pretty boring.
The one point i do agree with on AIM is mental fortitude, I firmly believe in all three of my shares now but in the three months I have sold and re-bought them all in blind panic. I am now sitting for the longest period in three months without a trade and it is tough.
I really need to get out to work so i am not on google refreshing boards and SPs, either that or I need to hit my personal target (I am not looking to pay off the mortgage!) and then get out.
AIM is not for the faint hearted by any stretch.
But on Avacta - I think it has massive potential and I am awaiting the Adeptrix news first, this will confirm the Cytvia news I think. A pharma partnership on the treatment would be a cherry on the top.
