Remember Trafficmaster during dot com boom. Their business proposition was to put a navigation system in every vehicle. Nobody did the maths until the bubble burst and they realised that that their device would have needed to be in a large proportion of the world’s cars to meet projections

I bet this is the same premise, half the worlds driving population will buy a used car from them .

My thoughts, for what they are worth, are that opec raising output sends the signal that demand is growing and markets will react positively

In the grand scheme, exports of vaccine from EU to UK will continue, the volumes in question are immaterial to EU requirements anyway.

Usual market overreaction, I’ve been lucky that I can take some profit but planning to drip feed back in to the market.
Expect further volatility with 10 year yields/inflation, geo-political/China but bull market will continue.

I took some profit at 38p and 35p, waiting to see if it falls further and see this as a hold for now
My big concern here is rising borrowing rates, HMSO in big trouble IMO if funding costs start to rise quickly

Markets appear to like J Powell’s report
As I stated earlier, I feel the shorts are covering hedges in the event that 10 year bond yield and prospect of rate hike drives down HMSO share price.

This prospect appears to have passed for now. I don’t expect share price to climb immediately as I suspect MM’s will attempt to hold the price down to allow covering of short positions until normal service resumed.

Anyway, I’m happy to wait it out.

Shorts could well be hedging on outcome of Fed meeting and against short term volatility
I think the markets are impatient right now, economies have not recovered, inflation is inevitable and the fed will act in a measured way when the time is right.

I’m not concerned, for what it’s worth.
