Is the Lancet article based on a non peer reviewed Brazilian publication on the weekend which caused a lot of confusion among us posters ? You are correct I think, the increased transcription in the nasal mucosa of m RNA IFN beta was the biomarker indicative of a poor prognosis in critical . But difficult to understand as I only read the abstract and the transcription might be under some positive /negative feed back control of ISG genes by the interplay of several interferons ?

My first reaction stating the obvious ,would be the number critically ill people testing positive etc will be drastically reduced .Those that have been vaccinated and fall ill /or symptoms etc will be eligible very important in disease /vax surveillance

For somebody who like myself thinks in terms of biological science this technology is simple but mind blowing .It will never replace conventional tests but may have its place is ending lock downs. Coronavirus are large family of hundreds viruses from common cold to Sars Covid 2 etc Will the holographic signal response detected by AI will be able to differentiate between these types ? I sure the designers/mHRA have thought about this anybody with any info to confirm?

But I do not agree that Pfizer Protease inhibitors antiviral are strictly Novel drug the biochemistry or the active ingredient will be the same principle breaking down viral DNA /RNA and the pharmacology dynamics /kinetics still needs to investigated in trials They are clever called novel for copyright reason to enhance profits and I am sure their lawyers are on the ball too That my take on it let get back to the real deal SNG

just watched the video and to save me typing I totally agree with Fruitandveg's post .Cannot understand why they call it novel when protease inhibitors for HIV /Hepatitis already exist .It's only novel in that the compound never been tested in humans When Dr Campbell talks about antivirals does he not characterize SNG as a direct antiviral but as an immune modulator? Which in my opinion is a safer option, a natural protein , unlike an anti viral chemical compound which may give rise to viral mutations and have other undesirable side effects on the body yet to be investigated

Not too worried .Given the specificity of the target of these drugs there is the risk, as in antibiotics and (Vax), of the development of drug-resistant mutated viruses. Therefore drugs may have to be given in combination and on prescription More pressure on the virus to mutate is the last thing we want .Don't forget to put clock on one hour Good night All
